It differs between environment art, character art, and definitely concept. Tools of choice? Wacom tablet, ergonomic keyboards. :D

Also, like Shane, the King's Quest games got me into computer games, to answer an earlier question.

Q1) Isn't the reception to the GI magazine cover, the puzzle, the article just outstanding?! Aren't you devs enjoying this? I sure am, and am mighty pumped up for Skyrim!

Q2) Do you have lore gurus that make sure each quest is lore-correct and does not conflict canon? If so, can you name some in-house lore gurus you have?

Hi, after reading through the Game Informer I have a few questions(conserning xbox360):

I apologize if my english doesnt make sence.

1.) From what I understand you should be able to see things at long distances in Skyrim, unlike Oblivion where objekts like grass, trees etc "disapered" at a long diustance view. will you have a good distance view at all time?

In my experince the xbox 360 has very good graphics up close( short/medium looking distance) in most games. However the xbox 360 doesnt have great draw-distance. A good example is GTA IV, the graphics upclose is greater than ps3(i think), but xbox 360 doesnt manage to create a good skyline, like the PS3 does. The PS3 has a quite good draw-distance in my opinion. Have you found a way around poor draw-distance for xbox 360?

I know my english is quite poor, but i hope you understand where im going at. I dont know if you are allowed to answer questions like these.

2.) The enviroment sounds really awsome, however I'm wondering if xbox 360 owners can expect some lag due to the new graphics. I mean perfect shadows, independently moving trees and branches, snow etc. It's pretty amazing for an open world enviroment!

3.) what is the name of the new engine?

And yes, I'm a poor student who cant afford a decent PC

Edit: Can we expect to se a new trailer within Feb.(after the official release of GI ofcourse)

Howdy hi guys and gals!

So what was the watercooler talk today?

Was there a company meeting with the forums put up on a large screen and popcorn served? :needpopcornsmiley:

When does the gag order come off and ya'll can start answering questions/clarifying misconceptions?

And of course, if in Heaven there ain't no beer, then where must you drink it? :foodndrink:

Anyone there play Sheepshead?

Cheers!

Will there be water environments sort of like underground dungeons with access points being holes broken into the ice?

If there are no Yeti in the game will you at least have some extra hairy Nords?

Will fire spells create steam when hitting icy objects instead of smoke (yes there is a noticeable difference)?

EDIT: doh! You probably can not answer these :(

Have you found you or another employee passed out face down on a keyboard due to exhaustion?
What do you do to get your blood flowing after spending an extended period of time at a desk?

John Howe's "Forging Dragons" is sitting on your desk y/n? Either way good job! Where do you get inspiration for the visual design of other stuff?

Why isn't there any awesome Elder Scrolls merch for purchase?

I want an Akatosh statue to display in the middle of the room.

This is a question for a dev who has been around since TES: Arena.

When Arena was first released did you think that The Elder Scrolls would become what it is today?

Who came up with the dragon language puzzle on the Gameinformer cover? It was a blast to break. If any other forum users want the translated version let me know and I'll post it

YESSS.

What is your favorite food to go along with cherry coke?
Also, if you can find cheerwine, definitely try it. Cheerwine > Cherry coke

When testing out the game, what hardware do you run Skyrim on?

And, if you actually answer that, what FPS do you get?

Have any of you designed mods for any other games just for fun?

Also, for any devs who may work on multiple titles, or perhaps engage in writing fiction or screenwriting on the side, how do you "switch gears" to work on completely different stories?
