Oops, seems I've missed that one - But it really is beautiful, imo !
I especially liked the voice-part of the Morrowind game-start in Seyda-Neen ! Really funny and inspiring - it creates not only a (even improved) longing for Skyrim, but for the other TES-games, too ! ... and for the music I could really imagine / would like, to hear it in a local tavern in the games - Do you also have a pure-music type of it ? Would love to take it in my TES-music-collection for my music-mods.

What is the best ''Free'' 3d modelling program?
I'm thinking of getting into the 3d modelling business.

has any of the developers used blender instead of 3ds max or zbrush?

oh and to left4candy, blender is probably the best it can do anything 3dsmax can do and I think that it has more ram available on its renderer

Question for Thunderjunk, since he's the most consistently funny:

Why are you so funny?

Hey, this is to any 3D Modelers, Animators,Designers here.

I just wanted to know how you got into Bethesda Game Studios or the industry itself, did any of you go straight from an arts college (or not go to one at all) or did you gain experience in other related industries(film?). Also, what programs do you guys use for your specific thingyness?

I got into the industry starting with general 3d projects for things like visualization, commercials, cinematics, things like that. I currently use 3Ds max, Zbrush and photoshop primarily for my work.

Man, you people are evil. Awesome, but evil

Just when you thought I'd forgotten, I'm taking you up on your offer.

Rip me a new one!

Uh oh, all Bethesda artists better look out :)

You have some pretty cool stuff there. I wouold say that some of your images are far too dark to really make out details. I would probably rethink those or remove them all together. As far as your 3d images go, you should break down what exactly you did. Did you create everything there from scratch? in eithr case you should specify what you did. I also thought the paintings were pretty cool.

I actually dont pull to many pranks but when i do, The thing i used to prank with usually gets blown up.

I like you. Back in one of my previous studios I slid a pack of those little firecrackers that sound like a machine gun under the door of a bathroom while my buddy was taking a crap. It was probably one of the funiest things Ive ever seen cause he ran/hopped out in terror pants down and everythiing. He stopped talking to me shortly after that :( ... But at least I still have the memories :D

Does Todd stalk people to get stuff done?

Actually yah sometimes
Lol. What kind of weird stuff? You sparked my curiosity now :liplick: .

Weird stuff..... :bonk:

If you (Left4Candy) are a student, you can get a free copy of 3DS from the Autodesk site. I think you just need a .edu email address. Even if you're not, they have month-long trials available, which should be long enough to figure out if you like it.

And this is why I don't poop in public places.

Like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_nQrdO--r8 weird, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2R7k1_kOqvk weird.... or like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmAJKL2Gi60 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ba1oxuIIY1I kind o' weird?

lol might just as well ask you guys this: which one of those that you find somewhat more palatable than the others? Not really any of them for me tbh! :D (though I do have my share of "pretty weird" music that I somehow enjoy).

oh hey to any of the 3ds artists I am thinking about becoming one and I was wondering at what age did you start? I am 16, have had about 3 years experience with blender right now and I have sold about 100$ worth of 3d models, do you think that is any good?

Todd, where do you buy your shirts?
They look so cozy you damn near want to snuggle with the screen.
(ok last thing might be a bit sarcastic but they do look cozy)

e.g. the one you wear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qf0floUUMjo.

If i had any question for the Artists, it would be this:

Where do you get your inspiration for the "feel" of Skyrim? Like your concept art for armor/ weapons/ land scapes ect.
Do you just sit down one day with one set idea in mind and go from there? Or is it more of a trial and error thing, like Todd comes in and says yeah i like this, this, and this, but not this.
Im just wondering because im an artist myself, and maybe someday (hopefully with fingers crossed) become a concept artist/ 3D artist for Bethesda.
