Meet the New Legend!

Oh good old Elder Scrolls, you are thoughtfully my favorite game ever! You mop the floor with all of those wannabes, Fable, Dragon Age, Borderlands, etc. I cast a spell on all of those First Person Shooters. Oh Master Chief how I love you but your no match for my Insta Kill Spell. But Elder Scrolls I do wish a few things from you. A few I have already explained through other posts now I am back to consult another issue or merely build on it. In Oblivion the Customization was great! But I do feel a lack in Skin Color, Pattern, Hairstyle, Body Build, Tattos, etc. I almost always play as an Argonian and always have a great variety in face complexity and things in that genre. But I would like more Hair style Options than just Fins, Dread Locks, Default. Also I would like to maybe customize the Teeth, body shape, build, height, shape, hair styles. Also overall body color, which you sorta can in Oblivion but could be expanded.

Overall just better. When your not on PC and using mods it was tough to make a good looking character.More options as well would be nice.

I want character creation to be super in-depth. I want more of everything: races, skin tones, hairstyles, facial hair styles, scars, tattoos, and more. Oblivion's character creation was awful, one of the very few blemishes on an otherwise outstanding game... I'm expecting a lot better out of Skyrim...

If they could bump it up to the level of, say, Saints Row 2, that would be great. Although keep the sliders for hair color and such, and hair length.

Totally true, PC Users have such an advantage over us Xbox 360 and PS3 users.

The character creator was good for the time, but I would like to see something similar to or better than EVE Online's new "carbon" character creation.

wannabes, Fable, Dragon Age, Borderlands,

:o I would call Dragon Age anything but wannabe. It was a very good love letter to old school Bioware RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights.

On topic, however, more is needed. BEARDS ARE A MUST!! And more torso control, and let me create my character in a well lit environment rather than a dark dungeon. In Oblivion I was toggling with the sliders and thought my character looked quite good in the darkness of the dungeon. It turns out my neck was grey when I stepped out of the sewer, and by then it was too late.

Just watched a video of that on youtube, the level of customization is incredible!

Give me some more options for female hair. The only one I liked from vanilla Oblivion was the twist one. Thank god for Ren and everyone else's hair mods

Ok lets not get out of hand here.Borderlands isn't even an RPG Fable 1 was the only true RPG of the series and Dragon age was a great game just a different style.

Something else I would like to see is body shape and height.

Well I want to be able to make a character that won't look as ugly as they did in Oblivion, vanilla.

I would love it if there were more character creation options. All I've ever wanted to do is play as fat, balding, slime ball mage and I've never been able to do that. Although if there are cuts in this area in order to spend time elsewhere and make a more enjoyable overall game experience; I wouldn't mind

I want it somewhat like APB's where you can basically change everything about your characters, create custom tattoos and stuff and it looks wonder.

Indeed. Overall better characters are a must, hopefully the new engine will allow this.

I would like more character customization options, such as beards and body size, perhaps even height, with limits for each race.

In Oblivion, the only beard I managed to get on my Nord was a blue goatee. :shakehead:

Sure would be nice to have a more muscular looking physique as an experienced Nord Barbiarian than a amateur Bosmer Archer. That was always a bubble breaker for me in Oblivion. Different attributes should have different effects on your character's physique.

There should be some "Other" option, but since there isn't, I went with the closest thing and voted for overall just more. If there was an "Other" option, I would say along with it that I want to see some options to adjust the character's voice. Heck, even Tiger Woods PGA Tour games have it, albeit not too great, but its there nonetheless.

And on that note, I think the player's character should have more voice work than just when attacking or being attacked (or at least I think there is something for when attacking. >.>), it is the character the player is gonna be around the most, after all (all the time. <.<).

Perhaps something similar to Fallout 3? Preset facial hair of MASSIVE scope, more hair styles, more customization and diversity overall.

I want stat and faction and starting item bonuses and penalties based on questions about your character's history.
