Mekko and the siberian husky

 Hi all, hope ye'r kepping well.

My current dead is dead character Jorry Karell {alive for 227 days now, lvl 26} is about to travel

fort dawnguard to find out about these Vampire attacks.

I have a question, Mekko is now at home with my wife, two daughters and Lydia.

Can I take a husky with me from the fort ?????

Mekko is not a "companion" anymore in so far as he stays at home with the kids and watches

over every thing. Can you also take a Husky is my question ???????

Thanks for reading. Jorry has survived many battles with Lydia and Mekko so he decided

to retire them both to tend his lands, he now has Erik and a nice lightly coloured brown horse

Lydia picked as companions. He is by far the longest DID character I've maintained so long.

You have to do a few Dawnguard quests before being able to take a husky.
the spoiler shows when you can get a husky.

As long as Meeko is not an active follower (as in, he's been dismissed or one of the kids has adopted him as a pet - just using the wait command on him doesn't count) and you've progressed the Dawnguard main quest to the point where you can get a husky, you can get one.
