Hi:

I just wanted the community to be aware that there is an issue for many users trying to use the melee button. Often the melee button doesn't work. I have tried my own work-arounds: remaping several times, switching weapons, and going in and out of stealth. Not being able to do stealth kills is especially frustrating.

Just doing the most precursory glimpse on the web, this seems to be a growing concern.

Does anyone in the community know of a work-around for this issue (aside from not using melee =)

I am having the same issue. I find that I encounter the issue much less when I have the melee button mapped to a keyboard key as opposed to my normal mouse side button; however that could just be coincidence. Also I've noticed the issue normally doesn't manifest until reloading after being killed (other map loads such as starting a new level do not seem to cause problems).

Hope this is fixed soon.

old as in reported, or old as in there is a fix or workaround?

im having the same melee problem as well. i only noticed it though when trying to reach the extraction point. hope this helps.

I just got the melee issue in the end battle of Semper Fi or Die. I'm left-handed and, since I can't use Enter as weapon customize as i did in Crysis/Warhead--in Crysis 2, it enters customization easily enough, but won't exit it and return me to play--so I use \ for customization and Enter for weapon switching. I noticed that in the battle after dying once or twice, I couldn't melee/stealth kill, couldn't use Enter to switch weapons, and I couldn't ledge grab anymore.
