========================================
INTRODUCTION
========================================
Melee Lock-On allows you to lock on to enemies via a hotkey (C by default) while you have a hand-to-hand or melee weapon equipped.

========================================
INSTALL
========================================
To install Melee Lock-On, simply place Melee Lock-On.esp in your Data folder and activate it with the mod manager of your choice.

Melee Lock-On requires NVSE v1 beta 2 or higher, so you must start Fallout: New Vegas via the NVSE loader in order for Melee Lock-On to function correctly. NVSE can be downloaded from its homepage:
http://nvse.silverlock.org/

To uninstall Melee Lock-On, simply deactivate Melee Lock-On.esp either in the Fallout: New Vegas Launcher or with NVMM.

========================================
OPTIONS
========================================
You can rebind your Melee Lock-On hotkey by holding it down for 1 second.

========================================

ah speaking as someone who's always playing a melee character, thank you!

it would also be nice if you can show melee more love my making a mod that gives penalties to ranged combatants fighting at melee range against a melee combatant.

This may be a newbie question, but can you explain what exactly "locking on" does?

Haven't tried it yet but it probably makes it so that you can pick a target and they will always be targeted. Sort of like Zelda. Not sure how it'd work for NV though.

Cipscis: Right on! :) Lock On is great stuff. Thanks!

DarkUnlceBoh: It's kinda like Metroid Prime, where you will always face your opponent if locked onto a target, so you're not swinging a golf club erratically at where your opponent was three frames ago.

Oh!

So no more backpedling and turning after every swing in a desperate attempt to "reaquire" my target? :) :) :)

Precisely. :) Makes melee a lot more fun and effective.

@Tarrant:
Ooh, good idea. I'm sure I've still got FRAPS lying around somewhere. Any requests for what I should kill with what?

Thanks for answering that Lost Dragon and JustinOther. It was asked over on the comment thread on New Vegas Nexus as well, so I guess I need to clarify that a bit more in the readme, although uploading a video like Tarrant suggested will surely help.

use a power fist type weapon on something that is tough enough to last a short bit with it.

For what is worth, the video should help to answer questions like mine, indeed --- if there had been a video, I would have just watched it to figure it out before asking.

(Not tryng to be snarky, just confirming that yes a video should take care of the need for too much in the way of readme clarification) :)
