I've never been too keen on this idea aye. I'd love to see some historical accounts on bow melee cause it doesn't seem logical to me. Essentially the bow would be a blunt weapon (for melee) but due to it's flex it should have limited effectiveness in this role. Also in what reading I have done, it seems that archers/crossbow people (whats their term?) protect their weapons in order to maintain their shape and effectiveness. An archer would not like to risk warping their weapon by wrapping it around an enemies head, though it's better than dying as an alternative i guess. Also, what about the string, seems that that could get easily caught in an enemies amour, impeding the warrior, possibly being cut or being dislodged from the archers grip. But hey, Beth (whom we love) is including the bash, so who am I to argue. In the context of Skyrim I believe it will be a useful and appropriate move which adds to the game play experience.
