[REL] Melian's Teleport Mod

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:46 am

Just wanted to pop in and confirm that this does indeed work with MGE 3.8.0-SVN_REV-118 internal MWSE. I've been playing with it for a while now and haven't had a single problem with it.

I also wanted to thank you for the best teleport mod ever made!  :woot:

There is one request I would like to make, if it is even possible. As you may or may not know, I made a house mod called Alladin's Bottle. This mod uses the mark and recall spells to go into and out of the bottle. The problem is, every time you go in, it makes a new mark to remember the spot, so that when you come out, you're standing in the same spot as when you went in. When I do this with your mod (or any multi-mark mod for that matter) I overwrite the slot that I last used for the bottle and the slot gets moved to another part of the mark list. Is it possible to make it so that overwritten marks stay in the same spot in the list? It's really not a big deal but it would be nice if it did. :)

Thanks again for a fantistic mod. You are a Master!

Thanks :D

This should be possible. It's not a quick-fix kind of thing, but I've had the idea lurking in the back of my head for a while - I just haven't done anything about it yet (I'm not looking forward to tackling these scripts again - wishing now I'd gone for readability rather than efficiency! ). It would be nice if it was easier to order the marks in the list, rather than always writing to the end... I've also thought a little bit about ways to adjust the order directly, but I don't know if anyone would really find that useful?

Anyway, for your house mod - I have to admit, I haven't used it  ... but it should be possible to make a MWSE patch for it, if you'd like the mark to be separate from the normal teleport list? (Is the mod on PES, btw? It sounds interesting :) ).

Edit: Found it :)

The mark doesn't have to be seperate, just non-moving. :) I label one mark as "Bottle" to keep track of where the bottle was put down (I forget to pick it up once in a while) so that I can jump back to where it is if I forget. It would just be easier if the labels didn't move when overwritten. :) In other teleport mods that didn't allow naming, I always used the first slot for the bottle, so I didn't have to hop all over MW trying to find the bottle. :) It would be really nice to be able to do with your mod as well.

Thanks again for a wonderful mod. :tops:

Edit: Tarius actually revamped my bottle mod and made it even better. You can find it http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8212.

As a player who almost always has a small army following along behind me, thank you so much for this. :)

One of those mods I couldn't play without, what with my small army following me around everywhere... :whistling:

Absolutely great mod. At last I find a Teleport mod that is just PERFECT, in every sense.

I've a petition, though...as this mod also sort of manages and keeps track of which companions you currently have, would it be difficult to add a Neccessities of Morrowind addon for it, so the food/drink consumed at every meal would correspond to the number of companions you have?

Let's say you've two companions on your list, and the meal time arrives. Then, instead of just eating 1 food item, 3 of them are substracted from your inventory. The same for drinks/skin-bottle quantities.

Would that sort of thing be possible? It'd be just great :)

Ouch, can't seem to make this mod work in my list, no matter where I put it in the load order.

When I put it low in the load order, I get an error report about "VH_StarOnLoad" script (from Vampiric Hunger) as soon as I hit "new game" from the start menu.

So I tried to put it pretty high in the load order... tested it out, seemed to work allright, but when I tried to cast "Divine Intervention", it hung the game indefinitely. Most probably a conflict with Vampire Realism.

Here is my list, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. :)

Update on the issue: looks like I found out how to make it work.
I modified the load order so that this mod loads after Vampire Realism (and all of its addon and patches) but before Vampiric Hunger. I tested it a bit and now everything seems to work perfectly.
