[WIPz] Melisande's Menagerie

 That was the sound of my jaw hitting the ground. Amazing Westly, absolutely amazing.
I wish that I could say more, but I can't think of anything right now.

That is extremely nice of you to say, swrdphantom ( :embarrass: ) . I will probably
keep her as she is (unlike many of the other creatures that have variations). One can
have so many thematic creatures at a time (so no fire, ice, or lightning harpies from my
end; nope, nope, nope ;) ). Ideally, though, the one shown above is a benevolent creature
(as long as one does not arouse her darker side, else she would be inclined to claw most
adventurers eyes out as a result of such an arousal of anger :) ).

Is your bat creature available in any previous released things?

WONDERFUL! She looks so alive, great work!

Not yet, as I was waiting to finish up this mod first before sending out
into the ether (it is a modified and retextured version of LadyE's bat creature :) ).

Here is a look a new version of the Xivilai:

I built him on a different skeleton than previously shown
so that he is a bit more "bulky" .

swrd I'll hold up your jaw if you hold up mine. o.o

I really can't wait to have these creatures in my game. :P I may have to make another Mage character because of this. :P

Looks amazing :) Will any of these critters be added to the main game? I'd love to see the Dark Seducers you've created added to the Grazelands along with your also-fabulous Golden Saints (hint, hint ;) ) The Xivilai in particular also stands out as something that needs to be in the game :) Even if it's not, still fantastic work :tops:

I am still plugging away with this (as the creature possibilities seem endless at this point), but
I really should draw to a close on this soon (at least as a "first" version :) ). Here is a look at
another Oblivion inspired critter (and a counterpart to an already existing creature in Morrowind):

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_FLM_ATRNCH_F_1.jpg (in NIFSkope)
*her skin and hair are animated with sequential flame textures

I have yet to add the particle effects to her hands, as well as cobbling her weapons (all made from
flame in some form or another; in other words, weapons of pure flame with no metal parts :) ).

Once I am done with this one, then it will be on to the next creation (as well as a few promised
projects for other community members :twirl: )

I probably won't deal with the males (as they are so beloved as to have many
mods already devoted to them in one form or another). I just saw the females
as a small challenge (like playing with Legos 'til all the parts came together ;) ).
While it is not exactly like the one from OBLV, it is a decent enough likeness to
get by :) . I thought about making counter parts for the other Atronachs as well,
but then thought better of it in order to move on to other creatures. I have inklings
toward making a few icy creatures next (like a Shiva [from FF] inspired creature). Also,
I had designs on maing a female Air Atronach (if I can work out the flying animations).
Solstheim has been a source of inspiration lately, so I also have a Valkyrie-esque
creature in the works (who would be accompanied by two warrior spirits).

So much to do, and less time to do it in, enh?

Shiva! Westly if you made Shiva i might just to have to change my name to "westly is God" and set up a Church of Westly in your honour. FFX is my favorite FF game, second only to FF7.

I like all the FF games (but I tend to have a positive outlook on most everything, despite
what seems a more favoured game from the next :) ). Shiva has been my favourite summon
throughout most of the games (sad that they chose the Zodiac for a new direction in XII, but I
enjoyed the game nevertheless). My Shiva-esque creature might resemble the FFX version,
but I am going for a reimagining a bit (Westly style, if that is OK :) ). The Dreds might be the
most problematic part, but I will do my best to find something that I can work with (hopefully
without much difficulty ;) ).

My freetime is a bit stretched ATM (and even more so in the coming weeks). I will endeavour to
have this mod released sometime early Summer (the end of June would be wonderful, if I am
able to muster the effort, that is :twirl: ).

Later

EDIT: Also, something I wanted to work on aside from this project (yet somewhat related), was unique
models for the Corprus Stalker creatures (with different clothes, textures, and sixes; seems like they
could not have been/should not be only male  ).

Yup, guess I'm not the only one who has Shiva as favorite summon :)
This all looks just too much beautiful.
Actually, I don't see what is the difference between your and Oblivion's Fire Atronachs, except in animation I suppose, but oh well...I like her a lot :D

And about girly Corpruses, would it be something only disgusting, or something disturbingly attractive that will make us sick of ourselves that we're having thoughts? :P
Can't wait to see what's on your mind.

Crazy, crazy work, 10q for this Westly :D

Just a quick nudge so that all who are interested in this mod know that I am still working
hard on all of this (with the time that I can spare, that is). There have been a few personal
upheavals in my life ATM, so I am trying very hard to find an equilibrium again (without a
steady cadence, I typically have to back-track all of my mods and start again on certain parts).
Right now I am working on a summonable Mer-creature (I was going to take a mosterous route,
but have decided to take a more streamlined approach so that their nature is left ambiguous as
to whether they are a good/bad creature [so that they might appeal to multiple player types]).
The only dilemma I am having with this is that they can be summoned on land (and I would
prefer if they were only summonable in water). Right now, when summoned on land, they float
above the ground with their tails flip-flapping the day away.

They will be equally as gross as the original male Corprus Stalkers, only they will all (male
and female) have unique looks (mostly). Different tattered clothes will help a great deal in
diversifying their ranks.

Just popping my head in to give a heads up on what I have left to
be done for this mod. Here is my "To-Do" list so far:

To be Updated-__Zenaida (make her a bit closer in appearance to the NPC in Battlespire [by Mark Jones])__Dremora Sorceress (apply to the Almalexia creature animations so that she can cast magic while holding a wand/staff in one hand; also will make the model assymetric as opposed to the original symmetric design)__Dremora Archer (changed from female warrior; a complete redesign from the one show on the front page including the assymetric meshes where applicable)__Seducer (apply flying/wing animations; also a possibility for including them in the world similar to how they appeared in Daggerfall [in that they appear like a "normal" NPC til one gets close to them]).__Dark Seducer (change to "Mazken" and reimagine them completely in my own style with some inspiration from SI).__Fairies (give them a more bug-like appearance)To Add-__Sumeer (from Battlespire)__A "Classic" House Gryphon__Sea-Witch/Siren__Valkyrie__Herne (if can find the devil tail that was made by Gagatek, that is)Possible Additions-__Creature versions of the "Hriss Clan"__Daedra Lord (ala Battlespire)

So with that, I better get back to working on this... :bolt:

Also to be added to my "To Do" list:

__Make Art-work for the Beastiary/Guide that the player can purchase from Melisande (detailing each beast and the bonuses/detriments that they might offer once summoned.__Make Melisande (head/hair/clothing/dialogue); I will give her a more elven look (my idea that there are a few Bretons that. ever so often, have more elven features and an "extra gift" for conjuration). These Bretons are also marked by heterochromic eyes (tempted to make a race, but the NPC will be a "normal" Breton).__Create Summoner Class__Create Summoner Birth Sign (my idea for this is that, once in a while, a child is born under the Mage constellation when a "shooting star" also passes over, resulting in an extra gift/bonus toward conjuration/summoning).__Set up all the spells, scripts, and test it all in game__Mow the lawn__Take out the garbage/recycling__Pick up my Dry Cleaning...

Summoner summoner summoner.... like the game?

As for lore to back it up - there are "wandering planets" from Oblivion - Lie Rock is one such stray moon. I actually don't know too much about the phenomenon - you might want to pop your head over to the Lore section (we don't bite).

Hey, I don't want to derail this thread, but I just want to ask if you got my PMs? One I sent quite some time ago and never heard back; the other I sent today. I don't see either in my "Sent" box, so I just want to verify you got them. If not, I can ask my questions here or wherever.

My idea (though I was not really going to voice it) was that the "shooting" star was the
result of a powerful summoned creature returning to its plane of existence after its
time of calling was ended (hence, the childs "soul-star" imbued talent for summoning).

Oh just had idea getting in my mind...since this is creature-only mod...is there a possibility that we see in another mod parts of female fire atronach's armor as wearable for PCs/NPCs? :)

An add-on .esp is certainly possible (allowing for wearable versions of all of the
humanoid creature's attire), but I want to finish up the main parts of this mod first
(as I still have quite a way to go :) ).

The Sea-Witch http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_SWTCH_SCREEN_1.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Creatures/WAR_SWTCH_SCREEN_2.jpg

I may add a crown made of shells to her, but for now, this is how she exists ;) .

*these will use water based weaponry (meaning that the weapons are "made" of water)
