Useless QQ post. You don't even realize how vulnerable cloaking is up close and you start a thread to tell us that? The cloak is fine. Don't blame the game if you don't know how to play.

wrong... the very fact you can camp behind a car cloaked then kick it when someone walks past for insta kill is a design flaw

Yes, I wrote cloak is fine. And hell no! You're not high, you're just a real f*ing bad player and dumb enough to not even see that.

Um, no you can't camp behind a car cloaked if you play against someone who has a f*ing clue. So you got owned? No surprise there, **** happens.

My problem is that the game is meant to be fast paced. The maps are so small it's irritating to be killed every 5 seconds by a cloack.

And I'm not a bad player for those you would tell me that.

shotguns can only do 40dmg if you shot while cloaked (and all weapons shoot at max spread) melee does 62dmg in base mode(i think it does 93 in armor and 47in stealth) and you have 120 health so you can't die from that....
also you take double dmg from weapons in cloak

Hey raiser did u come up with the values by testing in a server. If yes would u be able to make a thread with all weapons damage stats as per cloaked armored modes go ? Thanks

As far as cloak goes it gets frustrating at times when u do play against decent team but that's the challenge and crisis is all about fast reactions and using your energy to max potential. I only get frustrated when a dude is sitting in a corner waiting for people to run by but even then I usually go back and specter him ...

Yeah, double dmg input makes you die to stray bullets, not to even mention panic spraying you most likely do when you see the always more-or-less visible cloaker. A very skilled cloaker can be a tough opponent, but since there is easy counters, you shouldn't be a sore loser and QQ about the game being unfair. The balance is actually surprisingly good.

They do hit but shotguns do 40dmg max and everything shoots at max spread with snipers its like shooting from the hip.

you are looking at things the wrong way. First of all you cannot compare armor mode to stealth. Just cannot. Completely different ideas. Second of all everybody has all modes. Its about how you use it. But there are few things that armor mode needs fixing, and i did create a thread about this few days ago.(what would improve multiplayer experience, check if you wonder) About the marshall theory that gun is useless unless you are really in very short range it has too damn low acc, jackal is way better. And if you've let that enemy get close and hit you with melee, sorry man but its your fault.

Problem with stealth atm is you gotta use Nano vision like perm. Or your reaction time will not suffice. I wouldnt be concerned of such thing if nano vision wouldnt turn the game into some stupid virtual acid trip. I think they could just turn nano vision in to dedicated stealth detector(after all it is it's main use). World is lookin the same but you see stealthies better. But stealth shouldnt be overnerfed or game will lose its uniqueness.

I like your suggestion.

This may be true if you never used to listen footsteps in multiplayer fps's. And that's exactly why I don't have problems with cloakers. Don't forget that you get flashed when you shoot your cloak out, and also lose some damage because of the silencer.

I listen to footsteps all the time, however, anyone cloaking with covert ops is near impossible to hear over ambient sounds, gunfire, and your damn suit voice or teammates (both voice chat or in-game automated voiceovers).

I think cloaking is just fine EXCEPT one crucial change that I think should be done. When moving, your cloak doesn't work as well and is not as perfect at bending light as it is when you are still. And the faster you move, the worse the cloak works. This will encourage slower movement speeds instead of people sprinting around like crazy. Cloaking is still good for sprinting but if you sprint within 10 feet of someone, no one will miss you.

Of course cloak enhancing modules should do just that. And there's more anti-cloaking modules in the game anyway. Cloaking is not imbalanced, and everyone has it, so wtf is the problem really?

That energy transfer really is ****, renders the penalty of shooting while cloaked meaningless.

On a different note, why the **** does the marshall get a silencer when its shooting buckshot, and the jackal not when its shooting slugs? It should be the other way round, or just get rid of them execpt for SMG,s and pistols. Snipers with silencer and energy transfer are impossible to find on large maps.

I'm currently 12 12 and 8. Stealth can get annoying but I never lose a fight against someone who pops out on me in stealth in front of me. If it's from behind then they bested me, but I can often sprint around a corner, or jump spin and kill them. Just gotta not panic when you're visor starts to turn red.

Cloak is the best thing in the game... With a good team your can make wonderful sneak attacks... Of course, this is unimportant in IA and TIA but really good for the other modi. However, also the other team can do this. It makes Crysis much better than CoD sh!t...
Unfortunately, Crytek threw away Power Struggle... Now, we have CoD with some small unique things like Cloak... Thus, don't change cloak!

I only dislike melee is so easy to hit with you can hit people jumping over you without even aiming up or have them on your screen. same thing if a person strafes around you, you still hit him cause he close but not on your screen.

For me, Melee is inferior than in other games (not equals to an instant kill).
MP Gameplay is superior than many others, there are always some abilities to counter a perk or nanomode.

But, there are probably damage/enercyCosts needing adjustements for future; for now, there are many other works for Crytek...

i still dont know how players can SPRINT all map in cloak mode with vision enabled and kill u for your back =/

vision mode is broken. hurt my eyes and gives a poor level assist to detect cloaked players - THIS is the problem!

i'm a armor user.. but i'm being rapped by back cloaked-sprinting-visioned kills.
how can they hold the energy too longer?
