Ok, I've debated with myself on this idea for a while. (things got violent )


I was thinking, because all we really have is western civilization culture with our RPs, I was thinking of that bringing eastern culture would be fun, I mean how many chances do you get to be a sumrai or ninja? We could RP as a group or community of Akaviri men, surviving whilst fighting off the Beasties of Akavir. I know little is know of these men, even less than whats known of the other races, but I think that could be what will make this fun. I think we can conclude that they most likely are very Asian-ish people, including appearance, culture, and arcitecture. It could be a long time ago when the Men still were around. Or, it could be more recent, we could be the last survivng men of Akavir, making survival harder.

Anyways, it's just up for making ideas, and seeing if anyone is interested.

There will be retarded amounts of controversy over this.

Those who don't like how it ends up can simply not play.

Depending on how it's done, it could be interesting.

Maybe it could be set during the war when Tamriel invaded Akavir? Or something like getting rid of Tamriel remnants after the war, like, a group of Legionnaires settled secretly. As long as no one goes over-board with the ability to be a ninja, it might work nicely.

Yeah I really don't think I'll be including any straight up ninjas, considering the uber-ness, and the fact that Naruto has killed Ninjas

I like J'Ahdiirs idea of Tamriel invading Akavir. I could see a army of samuria coming together to repel the invaders and such. If done right though, I would consider joining.

Maybe that would happen somewhat into the RP, as a plot twist and what-not.

Some Tamriellans surviving in the Monkeypeople (AGH I forget their names) territory. Or somewhere else, whatever works.

Like W00tz said there would be alot of people complaining, but I don't think it should be a big deal. Its just someone's idea of what the Tamriel/Akvir War would be like. I say make it. I would join!!

We could be enslaved by the snake people, and then the monkey guys could free us and then tamriel would be invaded, we could be captured from tamriel though. It would have to be clarified a lot though, :dmc:

I'm not lore fussy, and as long as it has a decent story line i'm in.. Always wanted to Rp a Samurai.

I am lore fussy (usually), and as such I probably won't be joining this RP. But I'm not here to be negative; an idea like this is likely to attract a good few, and I'm sure it won't be too 'anti-lore' anyway, looking at how you're speaking of it- afterall, all RPs twist things a little. So yeah, even if not many people sign up here (which doesn't look like an issue), I'd put it up anyway and you'll probably pick up more folks as you go along.

Put effort into your OP though; looking at RPing in an alien territory, you'll have to be very specific about where you start and what things look like. It wouldn't hurt to read some of http://www.imperial-library.info/akavir/index.shtml either, because it's easier to RP anything if you have some idea where to start, and Guide to Akavir is laid out very well, an easy read bringing together most info about Akavir.

Well, if its in Hammerfell - Redguard Swordmasters are basically the same. Or Nibenay... oh, wait, OB destroyed the "Nibenay decor is supposed to look Akaviri" thing.

Besides, IMO, it would be a real shame to waste Akavir on stereotypes. Akavir is barely touched by lore - anything could be there. And then its just there to be filled with clichees? Eh, as said, would be a waste. The idea itself has potential. Like IN Im a bit lore fuzzy (I mean, theres as said not much on Akavir, but what there is should be kept), but, hm.... If this all doesnt go too much towards "we just want to play clichee ninjas and samurai" I might certainly give it a try.

The tips IN gives are good, too. I would offer a further one: Dont have the players be on both sides. That way, theyll never come together to form a coherent story. It puts some restrictions on players, certainly, but IMO thats better for the game then...

As for setting, it could be right after Uriel Vs invasion of Akavir, it could be said in really ancient times when, it is said, there were still men on Akavir... or hey, if the Nerevarine has gone to Akavir, maybe he founds a New Morrowind

So, in short, another maybe.

I definitly don't intend it to fall to Samurais and Ninjas. And like I said above, I believe the mystery will be the best part.

Men of Akavir would means they would likely be trying to survive while under attack by the Tsaesci.

SO basically it turns into either a War rp, or a run the hell away from Tsaesci so they wont eat us RP.

Faldom could make it more of a slavery/segregation/underground railroad rp.

That sounds pretty cool. Although running away RPs are always fun.

I have to agree with Susano, though; Samurai and such are great and all, but be wary of falling into cliches.

I dont think id join though, im still waiting for people to post in my RP thread so i can moveo n time without leaving themi n limbo plus im to busy for more than one RP atm..

And im very very fussy about akavirian lore, all the men of akavir are dead, the ones who survived have been diluted through years and years of cross breeding with the men of Tamreil (yeah that sounded sooo gay)
