Menu Error: Bad memory pointer.

What is this please? Since 2002 I've never had this error upon crash, until today.

I was picking up a pile of gold after clearing out a cave , the one in Pelagiad.

Thanks

I had this error only once. It occured to me when I picked up a dwemer goblet in Arkngthand. The game crshed but I could continue the game since there was a 'restore' save was created by the game. On loading that I could pick up the goblet and continue as normal. Never encountered that again. It may be due to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind_talk:Arkngthand#Dwemer_Pitcher, but not sure.

That was really creepy.. I'm not willing to trash my pc to play Morrowind..

I do see that restore.ess in my saves.

How would a cell load improperly I wonder..

I crashed when I tried to pick up some bone dust in the cell in Dagon Fel where you kill that Necromancer.

There was some bonemeal on the floor next to a skeleton.. I tried to pick that up and crashed.

Never had that happen before either.. No message that time though.

This is a rare crash, but are you getting it continuallly happenning?
An improper cell load would likley just be a random moment of the game failing to load correctly, so it shouldn't be a repeatable occurance. Using mods would increase the chances of any problems, though.

If it was a one time crash, then I wouldn't worry about it.
