Description
===========
The best resource for vault dwellers. Bethesda made an awesome set but forgot a few pieces, and im fixing that today.

This mod contains almost everything you need to make the vault of your dream. Some are only retextured vanilla nifs,
most are redesigns, others are new. Theres 18 room meshes, 52 small hall meshes, 12 galley meshes, 35 exterior
meshes (yes, you read that right, for you fans of Vault City), and brand new signs for inside and outside.

Also included are new textures, to be used with the texture set feature, that will expand your options even more. We're
talking about a small hall texture without the paint strip, three new mainframe light colors, eight new doors, an unhappy
maker, and my favorite, new chalkboards!

OPTIONAL: Four exterior wall meshes requires you to have Operation Anchorage, to be used in conjunction with texture
sets for other wall parts from OA and BS. Ive included the vanilla texture used.

PS: The exterior set is made so if you choose to make an exterior INTERIOR, it will all fit seamlessly.

Enjoy!

UPDATE 05/12/10: After numerous messages and a few weeks of messing around in 3dsmax, and the recent removal from NV Nexus because it contained illegal nifs, i have decided to revisit this resource and improve it. There will be two versions, one for FO3 and one for NV, the reason being unchanged meshes, even retextured, cannot be ported.

It looks really good. I especially like the exterior sections. I think they could be used to create a nice vault/cave interface somewhere deep beneath the surface. If I ever go back to working on vaults, I will definitely be using this.

Looking at them a little more, there is only one suggestion I could make. For the exterior pieces, it would be very cool if the pieces could effectively 'remake' the form of the vanilla exterior section. Meaning, including the support posts, the ribbing etc. That would make this resource even more amazing than it already is.

These are the GREATEST resources ever. I've integrated almost every one of them into Project Brazil, praising the name of Meo3000 all the way. It's pretty epic.

Meo get's thumbs up on Brazil Help Wanted Threads:http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=215480&st=0 and http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1101470-fallout-3-project-brazil-help-wanted/.

You kick a** Meo.

This is a mod resource I've been waiting for. I've loved working with Vaults since Fallout 3 and always hated that the amount of assets in the base game was so limited. I've attempted making a more complete set before via reskins and minor model manipulations, but never could get nifskope to work for me :( Great job though! Can't way to play with this.

Great work here.
The exteriors make a great looking structure.
Thanks for making that "half corridor" which was needed in the vanilla game to get the "overseer's office" to set up properly on both ends without needing to overlap corridor tiles.

@Michele: I didnt make the half corridor, it was already ingame, thanks anyway.

@Glue: You might want to check the city signs, ive included a bunch using different names.

I just got Nifskope to work again for me and I looked at the models more closely. Overally, AWESOME job. I love the cleaned up Vault 87 parts and all the Gallery space pieces that were missing from the original game ( Such as the bridge pieces you included. Without that, you're stuck with 2 tile-wide galleries no matter what.) I also love the plethora of signs you included.

I'm curious though, are you still working on this at all? Because I noticed while you have added on a lot of parts, I'm noticing you didn't do anything with areas such as the Overseers office ( With windows to match the small circle, wide window, etc. that you've added to the gallery end walls), the special room spaces ( Such as the Diner/kitchen spaces, private rooms with wallpaper, etc.) and also the Ultility rooms ( Like the large tunnels found in Vault 101 when you BB gun train and escape via Overseer secret passage.) Were you planning on working on these or is this pack considered good as finished in your book? I'd attempt it myself, but admittedly you've already proven that such parts would look better made by your hand than mine :P

ALso, I was wondering - could you make separate pieces of the support columns, ribs, and circular details seen on the VaultCaveChamber piece? I wanted to begin working on a Vault City of sorts and I was thinking of trying to continue that aesthetic on the buried portion of the Vault. Using your exterior pieces would create the concrete portion of the exterior buried walls of the Vault, but that wouldn't include the support systems seen in the VaultCaveChamber.

In any case, awesome work. If I do create the Vault City I've dreamed up for a while, I definitely will be considering your resources already. Giving credit too of course :P If I ever feel satisfied with it to put it on TESNexus.

Its pretty much finished, except for correcting errors, if any.

I believe theres enough new pieces to satisfy even the more demanding modders out there. I might come back to it to make a more generic Vault entrance and a few meshes for that tileset, but thats about it.

I thought of making the exteriors like the vaultcavechamber nif, but decided to keep it clean, very low poly, so if someone makes a huge town, it wont slow the game down. I might make an addon pack someday to help decorate the exteriors.

I'll be keeping an eye out for that city of yours.

Aye, it's gonna take some time honestly. Modding has always frustrated me. My ideas and any creativity in me far surpass my modding skills. Most likely I'm going to blueprint the place out before I even tile things together...

I was curious though, thought I'd ask. You're right though, your package is very complete and does take care of the basics. Cutting back on the exterior wall details was a good decision, especially since Fallout 2's Vault City lacked girders and the like. I'll see if I can pull the pieces apart myself though. Maybe. Again, skill level low. I'm gonna practice with a few small-scale Vaults prior to doing something large. Specifically a small home to begin with...

Appreciate the reply though. I'll keep an eye out on this if you do decide to add anything as well as any future projects you work on.
