I am trying to poison Balyn Omarel as tasked by Taros Dral in the Morag Tong's headquarters in Vivec. To do so, I suppose to leak some poison in the form of treated bittergreen petals into the pot where he cooks his food.
So I got to balmora where my intended victim resides, sneak into his house through the ceiling's hatch, approach to the pot, activate it and...nothing happens. I was expecting a cointainer box would open so I can drop the petals, but the pot doesn't react at me trtying to activate it. Not confident it'd work, but just in case, I drag the petals from my Inventory trying to dropping manually into the pot, but, naturally, the petals fall to the floor, keep trying to activate the pot again, but still nothing happens. Check the rest of the house for a possible different place to drop the petals, but there is not another pot, cauldron or cooked food.
Bemused, go to Uesp.net to check its walkthrough to see if I am doing something wrong, but there it's specified that once activate the pot, a message shows up asking me if I want to place the poison. I got out of the house, sleep for the night, go to Seyda Neen and back to Balmora the following night, hoping somehow the script or something has reset it, but when I get into the house again, the pot still doesn't react to any attempts of activation.
Anybody else has this problem? Could NOM that touch pots and the like interfere somehow? But it's unlikely that wouldn't have been noticed before if that were the case, NOM is quite popular and this quest is not added by a mod. I'm confused.
If worst come to pass and nobody can figure out where the conflict resides. is there any way through console to either activate the pot or somehow make the quest progress to the next step?
