Mer with Beards: Weird or Not?

You see, Mannish sixiness and Merrish sixiness are very different from one another.

Merrish sixiness FTW!

Point being what is beautiful to a mer is irrelevant because we're not mer.

I had an Altmer with a Scruffy beard, which made him potentially look 30x awesomer.

What is beautiful to a human is irrelevent, because I'm not human. (Obviously I'm human IRL, LOL).

All jokes aside, the reason I don't like altmer visually as far as males go and me being one, is they just look feminine. I like female altmer like Niranye because she's female. She's supposed to look dainty....But the men? I mean, even the Dunmer think Altmer look like girly elves.

They don't look feminine. They look like Altmer. They're Mer they're not supposed to look like how a male human looks, that would be wrong. To me they look alien and different which is a good thing.

These days when people think of elves as a whole, they think of humans with pointy ears. TES mixes things up.

Oh I'm glad they look the way they do, dont get me wrong. I'd just never play as one. Altmer, that is. Besides, Dunmer are mer, and they agree with me about the altmer.

I agree, Dawnguard heavy armor, a novice hood, face tats and shortish black beard is an awesome combination for him, but definitely not what I'd expect to see strolling around Summerset.

Well yea, they dont look like that in game. You can make almost any race look goodish yourself (lol except bosmer! JK JK) but the npcs really dont look like much. And some races are just easier than others. Like in my opinion dunmer, although I know many say they have a hard time with them.

I would say the only time you would see a Altmer in Alinor with a beard, would be if they were a Sapiarch to the High King or if they were extremely old.

I haven't created a "mer" yet, let alone one with a beard, but I've seen Dunmer who look decent with facial hair. I could see myself giving it a try if I could get away from playing Nords in Skyrim.

I actually have a really good time with the Bosmer. They're not that hard to play around with, the Dunmer on the other hand, don't even get me started.......

I do admit that Dunmer look the best with a beard. I say, take a break from your bland human characters, and stroll down Mer lane my friend.
