anyone else wish there was a good quality Mercenaries 3 for Next Gen?

Sure, but Pandemic Studios, the studio behind Mercenaries 1 and 2, was shut down back in 2009. They were actually working on a Mercenaries 3 back then, for the PS3 and 360, but it was obviously cancelled.

Alas that series is dead and gone. But at least the Just Cause games are a close enough replacement

In my dreams. The Mercenaries game were some of the most entertaining that I've played, and Pandemic Studios one of my favorite developers for their time.

Yes, I wish another one would be made. The first game was the first of the GTA clones that was actually good, had its own identity, and did a lot of things better than its inspiration. Sadly, as said before, it ain't happening, not with Pandemic's death.
