my merchant does not sell all the spell that is in her inven

Hi everyone,

My merchant does not sell all the spell that is in her inventory...

Why is that I want her to sell the command creature expert spell but this spell does not show up in her inventory...
I sat her Illusion skill at 100 and she can sell some of the spells in her inventory howver this one and some others (like the command human spell) she can not...

Has anyone a clue

What do I do wrong

I have an offerservice package (the default on aaaServiceEditorLoc8x12LockEnd and everything is set up the right way (she can barter up th 1500 gold)

But she refuse to sell those darn spells

Maybe she can't handle the magicka cost to cast it and show you how to do it?

Unfortunately no, I have increase th magic point to a 1000 and still she does not sell the darn spell. What I did is copied that spell and gave it another ID...that way it worked...don't ask...

I believe (and I could be wrong) that your own skill needs to be sufficient to cast it in order for the merchant to offer it. Try using the console to increase your skill to 100 and see if she offers the spells then.

Try giving the merchant 100 skill in the spell type skill for any spell you wish to sell, 100 in all the magical skills if you sell all manner of spells.

I just had a new player character with no magic skill barter with a merchant, the spells are there, even though the player lacks the skill and the mana to cast them.

You can certainly buy a spell before you can cast it, and you can also make a spell at Arcane U that you can't cast yet.

I always buy the "Summon Dremora Lord" from Volonaro, so it doesn't get lost when Bruma guild is destroyed, and I don't normally get to 100 in Conjuration before that point. I frequently make spells I'll "grow into" before I can use them to avoid the trip back to make them later, especially if it's a mastery breakpoint that's close.

Thanks for your answers...This forum is so helpful...by the way eventhough I am French I mod in English because I just get so much more help from the english speakers out there...

As mentioned I manage to go over this "bug" by duplicating and renaming the darn spell...

But whether my magical skill or the npc's was at a 100, the darn npc would not show that particular spell in her darn inventory...go figure...

As mentioned I manage to go over this "bug" by duplicating and renaming the darn spell...

But whether my magical skill or the npc's was at a 100, the darn npc would not show that particular spell in her darn inventory...go figure...

Did you use any numbers at the beginning of he spell's editorID by any chance ? :whistling:

Would these spells be Ability spells, or Greater or Lesser Power spells, by any chance? Merchants won't sell those. As a last resort, you could make your own http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Scripting_Tutorial:_Spell_Tome and let the merchant sell those.
