Merchant most gold?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 2:58 pm

You remember in morrowind how the mudcrab had the most gold? Well I am wondering what merchant has the most gold in skyrim. The main reason I am wondering because I am tired of selling to 750 then having to pretty much trade items for items. I know if you get speech to level 100 they get 1000 more gold but mine is only at 66.

The trader in riverwood (after you invest in him through yourt speach perk) will have 10k-11k every 24hrs.

there are some who also train you, I get the training, raising thier gold, then sell what i want to them.
I assume you are not on the PC, so no mods.
i think white run has the most merchants so its a good town to end your adventure, selling to each merchant.

Whiterun has:

Adrianne Avenici: 1100
Her Husband: 1100
The Elf at Drunken Huntsman: 750 (open 24 hours)
Belethor: 750
Arcadia: 500
Eolund Gray-Mane: 1100
Farengar: 500 (open 24 hours)

Total: around 6000

Is that not enough in early game?

If you get married, you get another merchant at home with 1100.

Riften, Windhelm Markarth and Solitude also have lots of traders.

If you fast-travel, you can go back and forth between markarth and riften until you sell everything off. Travel time between them is 26 hours, so the merchants are guaranteed to have fresh money and supplies when you make the round trip.
