[REQ] Merchant Restocking

Post » Sat Nov 06, 2010 11:31 am

Some merchants do not appear to restock their inventory, (e.g. Gloria, Crimson Caravan Merchant) correctly. I do not know if this is a bug, or intended design. But, could someone look into making a mod to do this?

I haven't noticed any merchants not restocking (including the crimson caravan guy), but what I have noticed is them not getting rid of things that I have sold to them, when they restock... which confused the heck out of me for a while (and made me think that vendors weren't restocking).

...not saying this is necessarily what you're seeing, but can you at least verify that that isn't what is happening?

According to the scripts merchants should change their stock every 3 days as long as a caravan visits. But there's a lot of stuff in the wasteland that will kill them.

Caravan visits? Can you explain that? I've seen caravans roaming the wastes, but I only thought that they were mobile vendors.

Alright, just tested this:

-Disabled all mods
-Loaded game in Lucky 38 Suite
-Waited 4 Days

Neither Van Graff or Crimson Caravan merchants had restocked weapons, I believe they did restock some other things though.

You have to stay inside a room for 4 days but I did read that it took someone a week but  Though 4 days did it for me, and I am having the same issuse as DarkUncleBoh with vendors keeping the items I sell to them...... that ended up being a good thing for me a couple times when I needed some armor to repair what I had

Yeah, I was looking some stuff up on this, and I think it's linked to the issue where any save you load starts out on Sunday.
