Mercy? You mean betrayal.

This is to the Bethesda Softworks team,

I just have Skyrim, im getting the other 2 expansions next pay, so if you already changed this in those expansions, pls ignore this.

Ofc, great game, srsly love it, thx.

But one issue is really bothering me and i think you should think about changing it. When you almost defeat an enemy sometimes they beg for thier life, and if you spare them then turn around and betray that kindness EVERY time and try to kill you. So your left with the sad situation in this game where every time someone begs for thier life you have to kill them which really doesnt sit well with me at all. It's agaisnt my nature not to show mercy. You seem to have forgotten that not everyone is bloodthirsty. How about if you spare them, most of the time they say a heartfelt thanks and flee never to be seen again, ofc you still get the xp. Sometimes they will try to stab you in the back but thats realistic. Give us the choice, rather than force us to be a-holes lol.

It's a little thing but I feel its huge considering you really play these characters as yourself. That's just naturally how we play these games.

Thanks

I agree. It bothered me too when I started to play the game, but I got used to it.

Don't know why Bethesda wants to brainwash us into mindless brutes.

I think I've seen more than one NPC trying to escape once their health goes low, only to turn back after a certain amount of time (or distance from the PC) and begin attacking again.

I think it's an oversight with the AI routines.

I agree with OP...it is just a waste of a feature, no need for that dialogue line at all because we end up killing them anyway. Only once a bandit run away and hide from me, it was the band of bandit that travel on the road, that all, the rest are not worth to spare their life

Mods have tried fixing this issue so that NPCs actually flee instead of continuing their feeble attacks, but this isn't any use to people on consoles...
