merging of dlc idea.

so i reckon the dlc will never be made free for everyone or reduced in price.

what if they put a copy of the original map's into the dlc playlist? it couldn't be that difficult.
that way you still have two different playlist's, if you don't have the dlc you stay in the normal list's.

i think this may even entice player's that left to come back and maybe even the influx of new player's
would pick it up(especially if the price was reduced)

the playlist's wouldn't be perfect but this way people that bought it would at least get to play it till c3 arrives.

i can't understand why they wouldn't want to try their best to generate sales from the dlc and generate c3 interest at the same time. it's baffling:/

any thoughts? would it work? any other ideas?

well, i think that these forums has put everybody off from buying it, but if the dlc merged, some players would have to quit that lobby or get kicked when it went to a dlc map. One way of getting people to play the dlc would be to offer double xp only on dlc maps, so everybody with dlc would start playing it. Their final option i think, is to make it a free download, but that would make customers like you and me annoyed, because we had to pay for it, but hey, i payed for a 160 gb console for 200 pounds, my friends got a 20 for that price later, so its a matter of opinion really...

well it hasn't helped that's for sure.
what i'm saying is if they put a copy of the original maps into the dlc and keep the normal list too.
this way if you have the dlc go to that lobby if you don't go to the normal lobby then the dlc players get to to play all the maps.
no need for anyone to get kicked or sorting of players. no dlc = no access to dlc lobby.

the double or even triple xp is good idea to entice players back too. they need to make sure they let people know in advance through farce book and twatter.

agreed it should be made free but i doubt that will happen. tbh i would rather it be free and get to play it for what life span c2 has left than not at all.

understood, but i dont think thst dlc owners play the normal maps because they like them more, I think that they think "there is no one playing dlc so therefore i am not going to try and make my own lobby and wait for others to join. I once waited 25 minutes and nothing so i also think that the bright people who will realise that if they wait long enough some other dlc owners who have just bought dlc will try and join one and will find the original clever people. most people just don't have time to be faffing around and just want to play the game, me included.

yeah i agree.
but this way at least the dlc players get what they wanted for so long, all maps merged together.
it will at least increase the chance of getting a game if there was a choice of a lobby with all maps for dlc owner's to go to.

it's highly unlikely the dlc is going to be ever made free, i really hope i am wrong but i think we may just forget about that.
if no one is playing dlc because they left for other games or whatever there is nothing anyone can do about that,
at least this way it shows some effort was made by crytek instead of ignoring the issue.

yes, but it is a great shame with the dlc, some people are thinking about making a fun clan battle...
