Hi all,


I saw the new Fallout:NV Ultimate edition in my local game store. Before picking it up to get the Ultimate Vegas experience ( ), I would like to know how a new boxed copy will integrate, if at all, into my existing copy (pre-order boxed with both Caravan and Classic packs). Will STEAM only add the currently non-existing DLCs, or will I get a sort of 'second installment' of Fallout:NV in STEAM?

the FNVUE has all the DLC IIRC. That includes courier's stash which has all the preorder bonuses.

I understand the new Ultimate edition has all the DLCs, including the pre-order bonus packs, but still i wonder if the new boxed copy i want to buy will create a second F:NV game in my STEAM games list/library.

I think when you activate it on steam it will create the ultimate edition as a new game. So you'll have two copys, will probably be easier to just buy the rest of the dlc on steam when its next on offer, thats what i did.

That is exactly what i want to avoid, i want the extras (for me anyway) of the Ultimate Edition to be added to my existing copy. Any chance i can find an official explanation on this somewhere? (Havent found it here or on STEAM forums...)

What other extras are included in the ultimate edition? as all dlc and packs can be bought on the steam store. Im 99% sure it will create it as another game when you activate as for example, i have fallout 3 goty edition on steam BUT i can still buy the standard Fallout 3 edition with no dlc so i doubt this will be any different. Plus New vegas and the ultimate edition are selling as two different products on the steam store aswell.

True, the new Ultimate Edition has nothing more or less than all previous packs/DLCs, but im asking the above because i want a boxed version in my collection If possible i do NOT want to simply get all DLC from STEAM store.

Can't directly answer your question, but... I bought FO:NV + all dlcs during the Christmas sale, before the Ultimate Edition was released. When I looked at the Steam store page for the UE it said I already own the game. Best to ask on the Steam forums for a definitive answer.
