Snorign,
Here's some answers to a few questions. Ultimately everything can be filed under the "work in progress" and "fan made mod" mantles, but I understand that that is a bit of a cop-out, so here are some specific answers.
[*]Purple stone trolls
Anything that is purple in game means one thing and almost always that one thing.... it is missing a texture. I packed some textures with the trolls, it is possible they didn't go into the right directory. Is anyone else having this problem?
[*]Trees towards the center of the Trollshaws that show up ingame as purple boxes
This is due to some very buggy custom trees we attempted to use, I thought they had been deleted from the Trollshaws, but apparently there might still be some there? You have the latest .esm right? I'll have to go and look.
[*]Missing ground texture near the entrance to the Halls of Thranduil that appears purple
A custom texture that is missing, again we will have to look into this as a team, (this wasn't my area so I don't have specific knowledge of which textures they might be, everything shows up fine on my computer.)
[*]At least two models in Forochel that show up as white boxes, these are both at one of the settlements there if I remember right
I haven't seen this either, will have to look into it. They weren't supposed to be icebergs were they?
[*]Another totally separate white box somewhere, can't remember where it is though
same as above
[*]Lots of floating models and a misaligned ground surface or two at Enedwaith near the wolves
This is something the whole team needs to pay more attention to, including me. Floating models are hard to spot in the CS, but they svck and we should avoid them whenever possible like the plague. There is nothing more immersion breaking than a floating building. Unfortunately the mod is so big now it is hard to catch some of these problems before release. I edited alot of floating objects myself in major regions before the latest release, but alas I wasn't thourough enough.
[*]Some (edit: probably all
) buildings in Bree can be walked straight through if you use the front door
This is purely WIP, we are aware of this fact, but we have no interiors yet for Bree, when those are complete we will start linking them with doors. I hoped you liked the town itself though, it took forever.
[*]Not sure if this is a bug or a limitation of the engine, but when walking east through Anorien, if you look to the south towards Minas Tirith, I'm pretty sure that the game is actually rendering MT as if you could see it through the hills/mountains. Looking north, east, or west is just fine but when I look south my framerate takes a serious dive.
This is the engine.
[*]When walking through the High Pass, there is a spot right as you're about to crest the mountain where there's some sort of LOD issue I assume. It appears as an angled wall from the right side of the mountain to the left side. You can't collide with it but it's rather jarring.
I know exactly what you are talking about, and it is easily fixable and is a normal problem with limitations of the engine when generating LOD. It will be fixed in later updates.
[*]If you follow the path through the Old Forest all the way into the Barrow Downs, the area between the two areas looks very unfinished, I realize that these two areas may have been handled by different people and that would explain the lack of a real transition, but there are rocks and grass placed intermittently, even a waterfall, so it appears as though this spot has already been "completed."
This area is definately still unfinsihed. All of the brown untextured land will be filled in with forest, it is just that I am doing all of the forest by hand to get exactly the right feel, and it takes ages. I must have spent 50 hours alone on the existing forest so I got a bit burned out and yes it is still very much unfinished. Buckland too for that matter is still a bit of a work in progress.
[*]A suggestion: for Laketown, instead of building it with individual logs, just create an entirely new single model that has the appearance of a handbuilt wooden platform. This should cut down on the framerate issue there.
[/list]
That's probably what we will do.
Thanks for the suggestions, and I hope you like what has been produced so far... despite the obvious WIP areas and flaws, we have put quite a bit of time into this and I hope everyone bears with us and is patient as we move forward; please always keep in mind we are a team of simple enthusiasts doing this out of pure joy!

That's all I can remember for now.
