[REQ] Mesh Request - Doorway Arch & Barracks Tower

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 5:18 am

If any mesh-makers out there have the time, I need to see if I can get the following two meshes made up:

1. A copy of the castle barracks tower with the top floor divided into a room with a doorway (ie - a wall going from the pillar at the top of the stairs to the opposite pillar, with a standard Castle Tower Doorway at the top of the stairs or in the middle. Mesh path is

Architecture\CastleInterior\LargeTower\BarracksRoom01.NIF

2. A copy of the following doorway arch with a squared off door instead of the current triangular one. It doesn't have to fit any particular door mesh - the larger the doorway the better.

Architecture\CastleInterior\NarrowSections\InteriorNarrowDoorWayArch.NIF

Thanks in advance if anyone can tackle these! Also, if you know of anything that will work as an alternative let me know - thanks!

If no one's stepped up to this, I'll see what I can do to help you out tomorrow. :)

TBH though, you could build that in the CS with bits.

That makes me think....

But no, getting Hana to make it is probably easier.

That's what I initially tried, but every attempt so far has ended up looking like it was pieced together. The height of that upper floor is the main problem - walls and such can't be stretched that much without looking off.

I can have a go if you want.

Does it need to stack with meshes on top of it?

Also, just so we're clear - you want a door going into your new room?

Meh, my superior CS-fu is the result of a complete lack of Blender-Fu, as you well know.

Like all Brits, I make a virtue out of my poverty.

However, if Omegacron wants my CS-built tower-with-upstairs-room he is welcome to have a look at it.

Where would you like it sent?

you can shoot it over to mods(at)omegacron.com - thanks!

Hanaisse, I'd still love to see what you came up with NIF-wise. And if either of you can tackle the doorway arch mesh, I'd be much obliged - here's a quick mock-up showing what I'm after:

Done, you should recieve it in moments.

I don't think there's any way of getting around a new mesh for your door, unless you use an existing one like the Chorrol tower doorway.

I think this will work Sigurd - thanks! Is that wallmesh a custom one or something retextured?

It's a tweeked version of the castlewallblock mesh, specifically, I moved some of the verts and tweeked the UV in nifscope, because the original isn't square.

That and the woodpiece mesh are part of my personal custom toolkit, so a tiny credit please!

Definitely - you were going to get credit for the idea if nothing else, but definitely for a custom mesh! I really appreciate it

Hana, do you want to do swapsies?

I'm curious to see how the two compare.
