It was part of the 'slavery' aspect of previous Fallouts, which Bethesda seems to have dropped from the game like a hot potato (digital lives matter?). Don't expect it this side of a mod.

It didn't make sense with the synth theme. So it's clear they left it out in FO4.

I believe it would be just fine look at Cait's story. We know there is still slavery.

Yes, regardless of the synth story side of things, there's no reason the raiders (and possibly the gunners or other individual parties) wouldn't still be practicing slavery, along with all their other unfettered vices.

Raiders are still doing their abductions (also there are minor signs of selling people in the Commonwealth). But the whole Railroad/Synth story would get out of focus and more convuluted if you have active slavery. I completly understand why Bethesda left it out in FO4.

Still no worry slavery is coming to the Commonwealth. I make my slavery mod for FO4 as soon as the GECK is out. :)

Thank goodness. I'll put a bunch of them to work in my settlements and replace all those whiney, ungrateful settlers. I sneer at happiness meters.

I was poking around in game and actually found mention of it, (well in passing) on a terminal.

So perhaps

If you mean the same one as I found, sadly it's about a robot only.

It would be very helpful on a full charisma character, if persuasion fails mezz them up and hope it does not make their heads explode.

I would just like it, to get say some raiders as settlers.... Or certain cultists (whom I find much more attractive than the standard dirt farming girls)

Oh boy that looks perverted, I mean with clothing there better looking in general.

Nope still looks creepy

I "heard" a rumor on the internet that Fallout 4 will take place in New York City and another that said it will take place in Miami.

No worry I am eager to enslave the tincans in FO4 as I did in FO3. I don't care how they name themselves BOS, Enclave who cares they make good money sold on the market. :)

Hrm - but they had a quite big slavery story in FO3. I do not think 'they dropped it like a hot potato'. They did just not use it in the Boston area. There is no reason slavery must be everywhere.

There were slavers in the Washington DC area, and the Legion were slavers too (FONV), but maybe the Minuteman (before they fell apart) were able to stop it? I think it is not something they dropped, it just did not fit in this story.

I hope they don't bring it back, although I'm not against people playing as slavers. I actually would perfer they incorporate it into the pacify perk, where you can capture people bind them and take them to your settlement as a slave. They perform labor freeing up your settlers to sit in the bar and get happy. They would need to be classified as something other than settlers though so you can arbitrarily execute them and not have your whole settlement turn on you.

definitely FO4 is not closed to Mesmetron, and who knows if it comes back in DLCs (perhaps that 10/17 is the release date of Mesmetron-related DLC?)

As other says mixing slavery with the synth issue would be problematic as it would generate more complex settings.

Its not an controversial issue as so, it was important in Morrowind and in Fallout 3, FO:NV and ESO has it too and both are in franchises even by other companies.

As for an DLC I don't see it being set in an large city, far to much work and they are better used for full games.

Meh, I wouldn't use it and I'd rather better ways to do it like with the syringer instead. That's more interesting then random energy weapon.

It was only in 3.
