Messed up character model!

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 10:35 pm

Hello friends! I have been playing Fallout 4 for many hours but have stopped due to a graphical issue which has ruined most of my experience.

Here is a link to an album with all pictures: http://imgur.com/a/ZPfCN

It appears it as if my character was supposed to explode and die from being killed. (I honestly admit this was probably due to me acting god mode before exposing myself to such damage.)

The first image shows the face and shoulders with supposed skeletal insides somewhat sticking out. The second and third show the body with ribs and what not showing out. The last pictures are the insides which definitely confirms it is supposed to be like an effect of the bloody mess perk.

I tried getting a haircut, surgery and reloading old saves. I got no results. I am unaware if there is a "showracemenu" command in Fallout 4 like previous instalments but so far I have no tried such an option.

I am not sure what to do next and I am hoping someone out there knows what to do.

Thank you for any help! :)

Showracemenu isn't in F4, but it's this in console;

"showlooksmenu <#> 1

or

SLM <#> 1

# - player ID [14] or NPC ID. WARNING do not modify non humans !!!"

So for the player(not tested myself), it should be console -> showlooksmenu 14 1

Try it in first and third person, no idea if that effects it.

Otherwise restart game and load an earlier save.

I had exactly the same problem when I found the below. I had indeed fallen in the molten metal in God mode so the below solution worked fine. I guess the molten metal adds something to the character model that usually wouldn't be a problem as you would die and have to respawn but in god mode it sticks with you.

If the player enters Saugus Ironworks and gets inside of any of the molten metal while God Mode is activated, the player will be equipped with an unnamed gore item that will show through their skin, and can obstruct their view in first person sneak. It can be removed with the command "player.removeitem 1E22E5" in the console.
