I play skyrim on average 16 hours a day. Sometimes 18 or 19 hours, sometimes a little less.
I got the game on the 26th November 2011.
I checked the total number of hours played since I got it and It turms out I have missed out a load of hours.
I even taken off 50 days then another 50 days and while calculating the hours as if I only played 12 hours a day but thats still more than my total tracked hours.

I have more hours played than I thought but I do not know how many I have missed. I didn't always keep track of hours played for a lot of characters so I know that is why I have my hours wrong.

I have atleast 8,500 hours but I do not know the exact number so I'm just going to have to stick with what I have kept track of which is 6,800 hours.

July 2013 I reached 5,000 hours with a what I thought was only a few hundred hours missing but I remebered that I had been depressed and stuff for a while where I know I didn't bother keeping track of my hours. and since then I have only kept track of 1,800 more hours.

Another reason why I have lost hours is. If I stop playing a character at 108 hours then the total time played that I track is only 105. If I stop playing a character at 103 then I only track 100 if I stop playing a character after 4 hours then I just don't bother adding them, which has happened plenty of times.

I guess I'm just going to have to forget about the unknown hours and continue on from 6,800.

Kind of annoying knowing that I must be closer to 10,000 hours but there is nothing I can do about it really. I'll still be playing the game for years anyway. *Enters Windhelm and is greeted by 2 vampires and allows them to kill anyone because I'm in a bit of bad mood*

I'm not sure why this is so important to you. It's not like this is a contest or a competition. I don't pay attention to how many hours I have played. I play as long as it's fun and I stop playing when it stops being fun. When a game stops being fun I do something else.

I know it's not a contest I just love the game so much so I want to know how many hours I play before saying bye to it. I don't try to keep track of hours played for anything but Skyrim.
It's just something to do.

If you're curious to know, why don't you write the name of your characters down, the number of hours spent on each one (or at least an approximate average number) and then do the math?

Seriously, Bethesda needs to ship you their first copy of the next TES game for free.

I do not know how much my words will affect you, but I do know that it should and I really do NOT understand any person that is living with you or 'close' to you... they should NOT let you play this much, for whatever reason...

Your gaming addiction to Skyrim really has nothing to do with how you are. If you would have lived in the middle-ages, without video games, you would have found something else silly to do all day long. Playing Skyrim this much, has been your choice. You can also choose to stop playing this much.

Your diagnosis and the pills you use, are only there because other people said so. They do not really help, they are fixing only the symptoms. A kick on your butt would be a better cure... because it means, go change something, asap!

I don't take pills. You don't know why I was depressed. I would do something with my life other than playing games and making animations but I can't.

You also have to be a bit selfish to succeed, it's nearly impossible to be selfless and successful as you give more then you gain and that gets you nowhere. I'm independent and depressed because I sacrifice my life for the sake of others....your advice may apply to you but it doesn't work the same for everyone as the world is different for everyone so you can't judge michaelpk for what he does with his days as you don't live in his world.

Michael, I know basically nothing about you except your age, what country you live in and that you spend too much time in Tamriel and too little time on Earth, where your physical body actually is. Holy hell. I thought I played Skyrim too much with my 10-12 hours a day, but 18? Holy ******* moly.

He seems addicted to Skyrim but it's a much healthier addiction then drugs. If Skyrim helps him deal with his depression and keeps him off drugs and out of trouble then more power to him...sure he's missing out on some age related experiences but if it makes him happy then people should be happy for him.

I think that by "succeful" they meant successfully living your life independently, with a job, and being happy that way. Successful doesn't automatically mean super duper CEO of XY company.

That's just luck.

On topic: "I messed up"? No, you'll mess up when you'll mistakenly add that you spent 6800whatever hours in Skyrim on your curriculum instead of something more relevant.

It must be very difficult for you to keep track of total hours because you make so many characters. Do you go back and add up the total hours from each character's save file? You are on 360, right?
