Howdy,

Ok, so I'm playing through the Thieves' Guild questline, and I'm at the point where I have to wait for Methredhel to find me and give me a note from the Grey Fox to meet him somewhere. I have fenced 600 in gold, according to my quest journal. When I first got to this point in the questline, I decided I didn't want to do it right away, and ran around doing other quests. When I was ready to continue with the Thieves' Guild, I went to the Imperial City Waterfront. I've tried waiting, about 2 weeks game time so far, 24 hours at a time, and tried sleeping in 3 different beds, one of them paid for, each 24 hours at a time. So far, Methredhel has not showed up. I read the UESPWiki page about the quest, and it didn't mention any bug where she doesn't show up.

Anyway, I'm on the XBox, so I may be screwed, but I thought I would ask for advice or ideas anyway, just in case. I do not have an old save to reload that takes place before the start of this quest (ie. before I've fenced 600 gold).

You might try getting arrested (make a save first in case it randomly drops some of your stats) -- many times getting released from prison you will find that anyone that is looking for you (either still chasing you from a quest or to deliver a message etc.) will be waiting for you once you get released (the game usually places them at the prison when it places you outside the prison.

Or try finding her at her House in the waterfront district.

No dice, neither worked. I have a feeling i'm screwed....................

If not, I've pretty much decided to just continue on with other quests, and if she shows, then she shows. If not, well, guess I'll just have to start another character...
