Quick update:

Added Xepha's new Dynamic Weather Mod (environment), T3T's Misc Item Icons (GUI), and Gifts4Kids (NPC's).

Cheers!

Ganna say, I love ya list. It helps me find mods when I started Fallout 3 a couple months ago. Here something I think might help:

Following mods on the list have the "No file exists with that ID." message:

*Increased Movement Speed | FO3 Nexus | [FWE Incompatible]
*Mortechas Weapon Rules | FO3 Nexus | [FWE Incompatible]
*Realtime VATS | FO3 Nexus | [FWE Incompatible]]
*Luchaires Food Revised | FO3 Nexus
*Timescale | FO3 Nexus | [FWE Incompatible]

There are some mods on the list have that have a new link/corrected link needed:
*Wasted in the Wasteland | FO3 Nexus -----> I assume new link: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7214
*Ammo Schematics | FO3 Nexus -----> Went to link to Ammo Toolkits instead of http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2381.
*Phalanx | FO3 Nexus -------> no link other then it lead to search. I assume Phalanx == http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1925?

Hopes this helps.

Just went through this topic and I have to say thanks Mez.

I played Fallout when it first came out and enjoyed it greatly, I am about to get into a new game and am searching around for a new mod setup and this was an excellent guide. I just finished reading "The Road" and I have post apocalyptic itch that needs to be scratched.

This thread gave me a great place to start on my new trip to the wasteland.

Yes, thank you for finding some broken links. I removed the dead links and added comparable alternatives for the "Increased Movement Speed" and "Timescale" mod. I also added the Immersive Timescale mod to the list.

Thanks!

On top of the DarnUI, the http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9654 and http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11257 for that deep in feeling, or a lot of information. You can remove everything, or everything but the cross-hair, and have information on your health, or add new stuff like a clock, speedometer, and other detailed information, and a mini-map.

An excellent list of mods - thanks, Mez (even though I don't use FWE - yet!).

I've come across a new "Needs" mod - http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11418 - which appears to play nicely with RiPnO (or rather my slightly tweaked personal version thereof) with the food/drink/sleep options disabled, Arwen's Tweaks and BLTC to provide a remarkably immersive game. It relies on real data to calculate such things as calories, nutrients, protein and hydration, giving a number of bonuses and penalties for satisfaction or deficiencies in these areas. It's still in development and doesn't have DarN UI support (yet), but still may very well be a "must" for the masochists out there.

Regards,
Pauly

Okay, I started my mod using career slowly, by just using GNR: More Where That Came From for the 100 songs. That was awesome and totally loved it, but was pretty intimidated by all the other mods available! Thank the Light for FOMM, whoever is responsible for that deserves piles of cash, it makes everything so much easier. So currently I'm running MMM, WMK, EVE, ProjectBeauty, DUI, ClassicFOweaps...muhaha!

Dipped my toes in and now I feel like I'm swimming strong in the deep end. Thanks so much for this thread. I've tried Arwin's reality mod and have FWE lined up, but I really want to start a new game to fire one of those up, so they're still on the shelf for a time. I really appreciate everyone's efforts, this has really taken FO3 to the next level for me and I can't see myself putting it down for a while still!

New member here, been lurking the forums for a long time though. Just wanted to say thanks to all the amazingly talented people that have made FWE possible, love the new gameplay value it offers.

Btw, is the list accurately reflecting the FWE as of late (5.02)?

It seems to me that some of the smaller mods have been included in the latest release, although they are not marked as purple:

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1083717-relz-fwe-fo3-wanderers-edition-%2336/

Example: "Fast but dramatic VATS"

As of now, I'm using FWE, PB, MMM, WMK + a lot of the smaller mods described in the first post, deleting the small ones as they get included in new releases of FWE.

Again, a big thank you to Mez and all the other modders making FWE possible =)

Mm, well I had to reinstall against recently for some reason...*narrows eyes*
Anyway, I found these, they are continued/based off of Rune's Immersion Sound Modification and Wasteland Ambience. Ambient Wasteland 2 in particular makes a huuuge difference, blending the sounds seemlessly in to the game, I thought. :)

Also, I think the old link is broken for this: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12144

My own mods are all compatible with FWE.

If you wish to take a look, here's my profile: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=1200632

I suggest; Ammo Limit, Skill Cap Based On SPECIALs (My own favorite), Perception Requirement for Energy Weapons, and Strength Requirement for Big Guns.

These are all made with 100% compatibility in mind :)

Mez - thanks to Kai Hohiro, there's now a compatibility patch for Fallout Food and FWE.

Thought you might like to know. That man is astonishing!

Cheers,

The fact that my mod was mentioned here makes me want to get to work on it again. Thanks for the nice list Mez, and sorry to anyone who had been using my mod and waiting for the promised updates (I've been without modding PC for months).

Thanks again Mez!

@Onlyino

Omg I know how you feel! xD
After reading that book I went around frantically trying to piece together/make a mod that would make FO3 into The Road. I even thought of making it possible to adopt a kid (like Bryan Wilks) and have to protect them on your travels, kind of as an added difficulty for players who find the game too easy, and for those of us craving that The Road feel.

A little mod I made that I found adds quite a lot to the atmosphere of the game. It's not incompatible with FWE or other mods, but if FWE adds weapons with custom firing sound IDs then those will miss the tweak.

Any possibility of having Imp's More Complex Needs added to the Immersion Mods part of the list? At 50 endorsemants, its currently outperforming Simple Needs, Basic Needs, and Jaynus Hunger Thirst Sleep, and catching up with Primary Needs. It's also fully compatible with FWE (it automatically disables FWE's integrated version of Primary Needs upon installation).

*Edit - Just saw MadPauly's post from a while ago. IMCN now has DarNUI support, and is definitely out of the early development stages, but is still a work in progress with new features being added with every release.

Yes . . . I haven't completely forgotten about this list :)

I have a couple dozen mods I'd like to add to the list once I get a spare moment to update it. Keep the suggestions comin though!
