MGE Screenshot Thread #2

A few years back there wasn't anywhere to post Scenic Screenshots. We had a Character ScreenShot Thread. So I started a Scenic Screenshots thread.
Early on we talked about if photo shop was ok. Now Scenic Screenshots is very heavy with MGE, plus there are tons of questions about it and it's shaders.
So now it has it's own thread for MGE.

I will put it up wherever people like. Even tinypic won't take the full 1080HD that this is rendered in. To be honest, 1024x1024 textures are starting to show pixels as well :P

WOW those are spectacuar! Is that just MGE or are there other mods in there as well? I mostly use MGE for increased resolution, but if thats the true capability of MGE i need to learn to do that!!

It looks as if he's using some shaders with that, particularily vtastek's godrays, knu's SSAO, and a bloom/HDR shader. He's also using a tweaked INI by the looks of it, and some ported Oblivion grass (or remade textures, but those look like Oblivion's) on Solstheim. Along with Distant land, AA, and such. ;)

@tronvillain, VERY nice screens! I really gotta make some better INI settings, the ones in SWG's Skies v3 svck...

Edit2: Ah yes, do the shaders work when disabling truebloom? If so, try searching for the word 'thisframe' in the shader file and replace it with 'lastshader'.

I know the latest trueBloom works fine with the shader fix (needs it, or a previous shader, in fact). If you're using trueBloom 5 or earlier, or a DX9 Bloom, or Gimp bloom, you should try the fix vtastek describes in http://mgeshaderlibrary.wikispaces.com/Using+Shaders, or (if it's a shader that came with MGE) try the shaders-118 package https://sourceforge.net/projects/morrgraphext/files/Shaders/shaders_118.rar/download

Images that come out too dark can be quickly corrected by raising gamma settings in some form of image editing software. Using http://www.irfanview.com/ ( which is free) i find that raising the gamma slider from the default 1.0 setting up to 1.5 gets the screenshot to approximately how you see it in game. Image > color corrections then adjust the gamma slider and save it. Alternatively Image > auto adjust colors does as it says , takes just a couple of seconds to process a screenshot.

Most definitely. Morrowind's original colouring is great. I always try to maintain it when I use ENB or MGE shaders.

It looks like he's using that Solsthiem grass mod

, which was removed because it used Oblivion textures. It is possible to generate your own grass for Solstheim with Yacoby's app (someone else had done it, I can't remember who ATM), but right now there's no grass for Solstheim publically available.

Odd, only the last shader in the active chain gets loaded. Am I missing something? Let's bring this reply to the MGE thread to avoid being OT.
