MGE SSAO and blur shaders being annoying

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 7:19 am

I just reinstalled morrowind again and used the MGSO to spice up the graphics a bit. It all works like a charm, but when I talk to someone, the shaders still do their work (see SSAO blackness when reading a book, for example) and the text gets blurred thanks to depth of field and blackened by SSAO. If anyone knows to counter this, please tell.

Disable "UI display quality fix" in MCP.

Aww, I see. How stupid of me. By the way, what's the difference between MGE and MGE XE? Is it some kind of beta, does it have better shaders or increased performance? I haven't played Morrowind in a long time. :teehee:

MGE XE features real-time shadow casting by the distant meshes, and other minor things, while MGE has the 3D water effects (and XE doesn't). Those are the main differences there.
