MGO and Wrye mash

Hello

After having successfully installed the morrowind graphics overhaul I wanted to add a few more mods and from what I understand the best way is to do this with Wrye mash(got the standalone version).

I have quite a bit of modding experience with skyrim and oblivion but with both of these games having such great support from the very easy tool nexus mod manager, Im getting kind of confused when dealing with this wrye mash tool and I cant seem to find any good guides for it(yes Ive red the readme).

From what I understand the steps needed when adding mods are:

install the mod

clean the saves

update load order

Is this correct?

Lets say i want to install Morrowind Comes Alive, I download the mod, place the file in the wrye mash created folder Morrowind/installs and then check the box that shows up under Installers tab in wrye mash menu. Whats the next step? Also, when updating the load order, can I do this with the tool included in the MGSO called mlox, instead of doing it in Wrye mash(if wrye mash even have such a feature)? Also can someone explain "Maintaining Load Order" and "Lock times" feature in Wrye mash.

Thank you!

After downloading the mod into your Mash Installers folder, go to Mash. In the Installers tab, right click the mod and choose "Install", so the checkbox on the left is green.
Then go to the Mods tab and check the mod.
If you're installing the mod for the first time, repairing the save is probably not necessary. It doesn't hurt to do that from time to time, though.

It is advisable to rebuild Mashed Lists - just like the Bashed Patch in Oblivion (did you use Bash there?). Right click on the Mashed Lists.esp and choose Import -> Merged Lists.

Load order is defined by the timestamp of the mod, i.e. a mod dated to 05-18-2013 will be loaded later than one dated to 05-17-2013. Changing load order in Mash works by redating the mods in question: right-click the mod, select File -> Redate... and change the date to reflect the load order you want.

"Lock Times" is used to maintain that load order. Mash stores the timestamp of your mods and restores that when it is started.
So if you, for example, have a mod that is dated to 01-23-2013 (23rd of January this year). Now you either update it with a newer version or change it in the CS or do other file operations on it (in Windows) that change the date to, for instance, today. This means that the mod would now load last, because its timestamp dictates its place in your load order. By changing the date, you would change your load order; if you have Lock Times enabled, Mash resets the date to what it originally was (01-23-2013), so your load order remains the same.
