Well, I'm pretty sure zombies are confirmed for Skyrim, so how do you want them to look?

It bothered me in Oblivion when I was going through dungeouns or ruins and I would come upon a zombie. There were almost no variety among them and I'm hoping this is addressed in Skyrim.

So what do you guys think?

The Oblivion zombies freaked me out, especially the sounds and the thought of not knowing where they are... :cryvaultboy: But they looked awful. I really don't hope that Draugr replace the zombies thought, they just need a serious revamp.

Yeah I agree. There were some oblivion mods for different zombie variations. All the races and different body parts missing.

I wasn't really bothered by the lack of variety until you mentioned it. More variety is always good.

I'd have to agree, if they make variety for the dead men I'd be happy.

Variety - and not just in looks. Fast and Slow zombies too. Zombies that climb... zombies that blow up. Zombies that work in a bar in megton. Zombies in general really. What was I saying again?

Let's hope Bethesda sees such a one-sided thread. We've made history today.

It would be nice to have more types, but not a priority.

If there really were different zombies for different races, then how about different zombie sounds for different races. I always imagined:

  • Humans(Imperial, Breton, Nord, & Redguard), Standard Zombie Sound
  • Argonian: Hissing Sound
  • Khajiit: Low guttural growl Sound
  • Orc: Grunt-like sound
  • Elves (Altmer, Dunmer, Bosmer) Perhaps a moaning sound appropriate for each type of mer

Or something to that effect.

EDIT: We're agreeing? Quick, shelter your families! We've opened the Oblivion Gates! :obliviongate:

I would like to see not only different races of zombies but different stages of decay, like seeing a person that you killed a week ago appear in a nearby Necro cave (presumably dug up by the necromancers)
with little to no decay, make for some good radiant story quests... maybe I'm asking a little much

Support Zombie Argonians and Khajiits

Just have to chime in to ruin this thread. I'd like to see zombies like in Oblivion again, but that's it. I don't feel they should have that much attention put into them. Plus, I'm really getting sick of all the zombie crap. It's just a fad now, like the whole werewolf and vampire thing, getting pretty annoying. There are much better monsters that could be implemented in Skyrim.

I just [censored] myself, we all came to a conclusive consensus, about damn time. :ahhh: the nukes are coming quick someone call vault tec we need vaults NOW!!! But yes, also is a zombie dragon out of the question? How about a zombie troll and ogre as well as goblins? They are all technically races except for the dragon that one is just for fun.
