Microstuttering in MW with MGE

Hello,

I've recently ran across a problem with MGE - i have a radeon hd 3850x2 card. When I toggle the shaders on (ssao, bloom, color temp), the microsttuter starting to apear.

This is an example of it, but in my case it is much more pronounced - while FPS counter shows always above 30 fps indoor, the movement is jaggy and choppy. When i toggle the shaders off, it's all ok. From the description in mentioned video I discovered that theres a fix for both Fallout and Oblivion that removes the microstutter. There's also a statement that this is a Gamebryo engine fault, so this is affecting Morrowind too, i think. I can post a video of microstuttering while playing if nessesary. Is there any possible fix for this? Maybe MCP can handle this?

I do believe the micro-stutter is just an inherent problem with ATi's 3000 and 4000 series cards, I had a 4870 that did just that, it also kept crashing and giving me the VPU recovery message. Sent it back to the shop for testing, and it fried their Skull-trail test bed motherboard.

All I can suggest really is making sure that you have a clean install of the latest drivers. Plus, make sure you haven't just got the settings too high in MGE :)

Hope you get it sorted

http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/8317/mgescreenshot4.jpg - i think this is related. When i took that screenshot, a some part of previous ss pop in.

Nosferatu, yours 4870 was a single or CrossFire? Becouse i'm considering an upgrade from my card to 4870 or GF 9800gx2 - just want some card that can run specified shaders nicely and without issues like microstuttering. I've been trying to fix this quite some time now, will try on Win 7 and old Catalyst like 8.2. Played with AA/AF settings within MGE and Driver Settings. Also theres a guess that Catalyst AI on disabled turns off Crossfire - tried that with no luck. I'm running out of ideas here :)

Also, what's your experiences with 4870, Nosferatu?
