Mid-Game Crisis ... or ...

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:45 am

I just crossed the midway point of the game, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Particularly now that I have reached near-invincibility with 1000 armor and fully enhanced Daedric armor and weapons --- I one-shot most dragons now with almost no damage taken. Up to this point I have explored and done quest in patterns that advance the main quest (I just defeated Alduin at the Throat of the World) and/or gotten me my skills in alchemy, etc. by exploring to places for ingredients, and even picked up the house in Solitude.

But now I need some organization to my questing. What pattern should I follow? Drop in on the major cities and visit the Jarls? Do all the miscellaneous quests in a town and then move on? I'm halfway through collecting all the powerstones for the 20 shouts, so that takes me all over the map ... but it still seems there should be a better way to organize my questing efforts.

I was under the impression that damage taken in relation to armour is capped at 80% when you get to around 570 armour rating. If that is the case, then yours seems very excessive, for no real gain. Someone else with more knowledge would have to correct me on that though.

As for the quests, I tend to go about my business and complete whatever tasks I can when I am in a certain area, and then move on. Sometimes I feel like going through my active quests in the order I got them, just to clear a few, but generally I don't follow any sort of path, I prefer it that way.

I agree, it's way more than I need ... but it's not like I took it away from anything else ... it was just a by-product of the smithing-alchemy-enchanting loop

Doesn't matter, just pick a quest.
