mid to high end CPU Bottlenecking

Post » Sun Mar 02, 2014 9:25 am

every minute or so ESO freezes for 1-5 sec. I show my cpu shooting up to 100% during this time so that must be whats causing it. the problem is I have a i5-4670 3.4, while not the most high end chip out there its more than enough to walk all over ESO with out breaking a sweat.

changing settings changes nothing

is this a known optimization issue? anything I can do about it?

is anyone else having a problem with the 1150 socket CPUs?

Welcome to the forums :)

This is best asked on the beta forums (link should be in the email) or report it to ZOS:

CPU lagspikes is a common bug in ESO. Wait untill you get to PvP. Its unplayable this beta.

Well your CPU is plenty. I run the game pretty much Max with a Q6600@3GHZ and a 550ti 1GB.

There's a issue with freezing that they are aware of. I get it every now and again and it last about 2 to 6 seconds and then the world shoots past quickly like its lagged.

God I hope this isn't an issue with release. I have had bad experiences with MMOs that have bad optimization........
