Midas Magic
Spells of Aurum

This mod adds over 290 new and unique spell types. It adds beam, spray and projectile attacks. Turn bodies to gold, summon your own magic carpet, or dwemer transformer, or protect yourself with a ring of fire. This mod has several goals...

- Extend the Magic system of Oblivion without disturbing the current spell system
- Maintain the balance of the combat system
- Add a completely different way to obtain these spells from the normal system

To obtain these spells talk to the Vendor Midas. His shop is located to the Right as you enter the Arcane University Court Yard. Before you enter the University itself.

I've added the Aurum Assimulator in version 0.810. It lets you convert jewelry into it raw components and get the gold and other metals out. It will also let you recombine Gems into more valuable Gems or break them down. Hopefully this will help make up for the severe lack of gold nuggets :)

Also, the shop itself may not appear. If you are posting here concerning one of these issues, please indicate that you are running 1.2 or higher. If you are experiencing problems, having trouble creating a spell or finding an ingredient. Read the FAQ before posting here. It could save you a lot of time.

Midas Magic Mini-Faq
------------------------

Q:OMG! I cant Find the Shop! I looked at the http://tesnexus.com/downloads/images/9562-1-1192800384.jpg, but it's not there!!
A:This mod requires the Oblivion 1.2 patch. This is the most common problem reported with this mod. It won't work without it. If you cannot upgrade to Oblivion version 1.2 you can download version 0.870 of Midas Magic. It's the last version that was compatible with oblivion 1.15. But it won't have the latest spells. If you've done all this, and just don't know where the shop is, read on.

Q: Which file do I download from Tesnexus or Planet Elder Scrolls
A: I keep older versions on those sites for compatibility reasons but usually you just have to download the latest revision of the file. The file with the highest version number. At the time of this writing, the latest version was 0.956.

Q:How do I install the Mod?
A: First download the Mod and extract the ".zip" file in your Oblivion\data folder. Make sure you extract ALL the files, and that you keep the mod's directory structure intact. On launching oblivion, click the "Data Files" link and make sure that MidasSpells.esp is selected. Then, play the game. This http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Tutorials.Detail&id=60 gives more generic detail on extracting and installing mods if you need more help.

Q: How do I upgrade from one version to the next?
A: Just install the new .zip. It will replace the older files with newer files. Your older saves should work with the new version and should keep all the spells you have learned up until this point.

Q: Where do I find the Shop?
A: The shop is located in the Arcane University outside the Main Gates. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LL2sr7RXdEc will give you a fly-by on how to get there and you can find a map http://tesnexus.com/downloads/images/9562-1-1192800384.jpg.

Q: How do I get the spells?
A: Talk to Midas. He'll direct you through the process of making the spells. But the basics are 1)Collect Ingredients 2) Combine Ingredients in the Aurum Reactor 3) Take the resulting "Aurum Residue" and eat it. If you need more help, watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHtgOmCJpBw.

Q: Does this unbalance the game?
A: This mod does give you new advantages, but these are tactical advantages that allow for more robust gameplay. This mod is specifically designed to avoid changing the spell power/damage balance. This is not a "cheater" mod by any stretch of the imagination.

Q: Where can I find Midas' books?
A: The Aurum Incantatem & Anima of Aurum are in display Cases in Midas's Shop. The Aurum Assimilator Manual is next to the Assimilator, and the Midas Magic for Dimmies is on the upper floor of the Fraternity house across the courtyard from Midas' Shop. There are several quest related books on the shelf behind Midas as well. He also sells extra copies of each.

Q: This mod takes a lot of gold. Where can I find more?
A: The Aurum Assimilator is designed to allow you to melt down gold jewelry to produce gold nuggets. Also, the "Broke Back Mining Co." will sell shares in their mining efforts. This will increase their likely hood of producing gold which you can buy. This is not an inexpensive option but it's a good way to ensure a steady stream of gold nuggets later in the game.

Q: Is this mod compatible with XYZ other mod?
A: Midas Magic is designed to be very "non intrusive" it doesn't change the spell system or much of the world space. People have reported no issues playing with other mods like MMM, OOO, Frans, Supreme Magicka, PJ's Spell Compendium, or Mighty Magick. However, some of the spell rebalancing mods may affect the balance of Midas Spells.http://www.tessource.net/files/file.php?id=10691 by rylasasin helps to balance the changes by Mighty Magick. Also, mods that change the Arcane University may have impact on Midas, however Midas Magic is designed to worked with Arcane University 300 if it is installed.

Q: What does the Doorbell do?
A: The doorbell is a "compatibility" workaround. If you use a mod that changes the Arcane University, and cannot enter Midas's Shop. Press the doorbell and the Mod will reconfigure itself to work with your set-up. It also prompts Midas to clean up his shop, in case you wrecked it testing a spell :)

Q: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tS_HLjSMAtY
A: You must collect and feed him Boar Meat. And yes, that's all he'll eat. Place the meat on the ground in front of him and wait a moment. Don't leave or he'll follow you and not eat the meat (he's quite attached). Once he picks up the meat, he'll wander a while before finally sitting to eat it. After eating each dining, he'll grow a little bit.

Q: How do I make the Centurion?
A: First, he has his own book "The Dwemeri Art." It's on the shelf behind Midas in his shop. Follow the recipe. Make sure you don't use any Special armor or shields, the ceremonial version or enchanted versions of the equipment won't work. Also, make sure you don't forget the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Volendrung

Q: I have lost a book, what do I do!
A: The books themselves aren't a requirement, just the info in them. But, in case you need more, Midas sells extra copies.

Q: I can't summon creatures... the force spells don't work.... the shop doesn't appear where the map shows it.
A: Make sure you are running Patch level 1.2 of Oblivion, SI is NOT required but is compatible.

Q:You said to upgrade to 1.2 of Oblivion. How do I do that?
A:http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion%3a%50atch site contains some information on the patch.

Q: I get Yellow Diamond, Green Clovers, Purple Hearts etc all over the place? And sometimes things are a bright purple. (Yes, I get this question)
A: Your files are most likely not in the right place. Make sure Midas Magic is installed in your oblivion\data and unzipped with its directory structure intact. Sometimes 3rd party unzip programs can make it easy to mess this up. Most of the Midas Magic meshes should install in your oblivion\data\meshes\magiceffects folder.

Q: When I try to summon a Midas Summon I get the message "Too Many Summons."
A: Cast the "Midas Unsummon" spell to reset your summon count

Q: I've got all the ingredients but cannot create the Centurion? What's wrong.
A: First double check the ingredients. Make sure none of the items are enchanted, no special spells on them and no special names. And make sure you have all the items listed below. And the boots aren't required (but don't cause a problem if they're there).
- GoldNugget
- http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Volendrung
- DwarvenShield
- DwarvenHelmet
- DwarvenCuirass
- DwarvenGauntlets
- DwarvenGreavesNote: For those using OOO this recipe may be a problem. There may also be a problem if you use a mod that changes these items such as Fransesco's 4.5b. If the above recipe doesn't work for you, there is an alternate recipe that requires 5 brass nuggets instead of the armor and shield.

Q:I can't figure out the Weretiger Quest.
A: Well, to start read the book "On Lycanthropy" in Midas' Shop. It will give you clues as to what to do next. Here's the step by step.
Spoiler
first you need to create the Silver Bullet spell in the On Lycanthropy Book, it's the only way to kill him/
Once you've done that
Spoiler
you should go to the Frat House and read the copy of "On Lycanthropy" on the upstairs bookshelf
that points you to the next step
Spoiler
He's wandering the wilderness along the Panther River, He starts around the North East of Garnet Camp

Q:How does the Brokeback Mining Co. Mine work?
A:This isn't your standard gold mine. Basically, the Brokeback Mining Co. has already staked claim to this mine. What you need to do is enter the office of the company and purchase shares in the mine. This provides funding to the company and increases their likelihood of finding gold. You can then purchase these nuggets in the company store. The way the formula works, for each share you purchase, the company has a 5% chance of finding a nugget each day, and will keep a maximum of 3 nuggets in stock. So, return often.

Q: I the "Wings of an Angel" spell works but I don't see the wings.
A: Unfortunately, the only way to make this work with out creating mod conflicts was to use an "amulet." Some armor hides amulets so the wings will not show up. The spell works fine, but you don't get the pretty visuals with some armor.

--- INGREDIENTS---
Q: Where can I find a specific Ingredient?

A: For most of the ingredients, this http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Ingredients is very helpful. It covers the standard ingredients in the game. Info on misc. Items like "Stone Bricks" can be found http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Miscellaneous_Items. Some ingredients are Midas Magic specific like the enchanted cloth which Midas sells or the Astral Beacon Cap, those are covered below.

The Angel Feather
This obviously comes from angels. You have to create the summon angel spell first. Then you have to summon your angel in the right place.
Spoiler
If you summon the angel in a cathedral, it will instead summon a powerful Archangel who will sell you an angel feather along with potions and some healing spells.

The Astral Beacon Cap
Astral Beacon Caps can be found in the Astral Pocket. This is accessible via the Astral Recall spell or through the gate in Midas' Basment. See "How do I get beyond the First Island" below for more info.

The Eagle Feather
This is found in one of the Astral realms.
Spoiler
It is in the "TREES" realm. Look for the eagle flying around here

The Enchanted Cloth
This is bought from Midas.

The Sigil Essences (Life Essence, Fire Essence, etc.)
These are created in the Aurum Assimilator in the corner of Midas's shop by "separating" Sigil Stones into their base essences. Read the Book "Aurum Assimilator Manual" for more information and a breakdown of which stones create which essences.

The Slime Heart and Eyes of the Beholden
These can be found as part of the Eye of the Beholden quest. Read the "Eye of the Beholden" in Midas' Shop to learn more.

Ebony, Jade, Brass/Copper Nuggets
These are created by separating jewelry in the Aurum Assimilator. Separating jewelry will create "fragments" that can be combined into nuggets.

The Prime Morpholith
Read the book "The Prime Morpholith" behind Midas In his Shop. It will give you a new Map location.
--- THE ASTRAL PLANE---
Q:WTF?
A: The Astral Plane is pivotal to Midas' study of inter-dimensional travel. You first enter it with either the Astral Mark/Recall spell, or thought the smaller portal in Midas' basemant (Version 0.960 and up). The first challenge is to find your way deeper into the astral plane. The first Island is only the beginning. Activating the Great Astral Crystal in the Heart of the Astral Plane will enable you to travel through the astral plane (using the Great Astral Gate) to new worlds.

Q: How do I get beyond the First Island
A:There is a specific "trick" to getting beyond the firs island that makes it a bit of a challenge. But if you want the answer, here is the secret
Spoiler
There is a second smaller island off in the Mist. One way to get there is to use the Force Push spell; when cast slightly downward it will serve to extend the jumps of the player. If you cast this spell repeatedly after jumping off the ledge of the Astral Pocket, you can control your fall and navigate toward the smaller island.
There are several other "flight" spells that may be used as well.

Q:I can't figure out how to open the Crystals
Spoiler
on the small island
in the Astral Plane
A:Well, I did want this to be a bit of a brain teaser, The Hint when you click the stones says "Cast Open the Stones and Enter" If you want the answer, here it is
Spoiler
Cast an "Open" lock spell on the stones.

Q:I've found all but one of the crystals, where's the last one?
A:Well, chances are...
Spoiler
you can't find the one crystal that is beyond the astral mist. On entering the "water" of the astral mist, follow the giant white fish to an upside down door. Sometimes the fish doesn't appear. If that happens, head due east, and look downward.

Q:Ok, so I'm in the astral plane and have collected all the Crystals now what.
A: Two steps... First
Spoiler
Place the crystals on the pedestals in the Astral Heart Area
once that's done then
Spoiler
active each one in a musical sequence. If you do it in the right order, the main crystal will light up with each step

Q:I can't figure out the Answers to the "Crossworlds" Crossword Puzzle. Give em to me.
A: Ok
Spoiler
TREES, TAR, SLEET, ASTRAL,TATER,TEARS, STEEL, SEARS, TESLA, STALE, ALTAR, SEAS, STRATA,AERATE

Q:In the Wayward Skeep Quest, how do I get the skeep to follow me?
A:Just like any other creature with...
Spoiler
A command creature spell

Q:Where can I meet Tyrael?
A:This is part of the astral plane quest.
Spoiler
Get the Summon Angel spell and cast it in the Temple in the Divine Astral plane

Q:I just want to access the wearable items in the spells for screenshots. Where can I get them?
A:Look in Midas' upstairs bedroom, there is an armoire there with "costume copies" of the items obtained in the spells. They don't have the enchantments but can be equipped at will.
---- Special Note for OOO Users ----

OOO changes some items used as ingredients for Midas Magic. I have included some "replacement" recipes for these items.
Dwarven (Dwemer) Armor: To make Centurion Prime, an alternate recipe using 5 brass nuggets may be used
Grand Soul Gems: Using "Midas Death Ray" on certain High Level creatures will create a "Midas Grand Soul Gem" which may be used as a substitute

---- Cheat ----
Many have requested a easy way to gain all the Midas Spells. There is a cheat built into the mod. I STRONGLY recommend against using it for serious gameplay. It WILL unbalance the game and ruin the challenge. That being Said, the cheat is below
Spoiler

From the console type "setstage MidasPSB 42"This cheat works for 0.960 Patch E and up

I have a spare nugget and have been testing out different spells with a quicksave to see what is suitable for my level. I tried all of the above except chain lightning and they seem suitable.

Midas chest-carpet-death beam-light arrow. It is Kinda hard to say exactly, as I try to get spells I will use and I try to get all the spells otherwise. But usually the convenience ones first then the mid level attack spells.

Is it possible to modify casting sounds at all? The glaive I think, and Midas Sparks have no sounds when I cast and it is kinda boring :embarrass:

The solution is probably easy and right in the CS I'm sure

I was kinda dissapointed with the sparks. I had just recently played through Might & Magic 6,7 and there the leveled up sparks spell was like the best dungeon spell there was. It looks about the same here, but the damage is fairly minimal I thought. Also a lot harder to use realtime.

Now this may be a dumb question but, other than looking through the internet all day i haven't found any mention of what to do in the astral realm after you open the stones. Now normally i wouldn't care but i hear tell of awesome things for completing the quest, and well, for some reason the quest is not updating, now is there something special i have to do after i open the stone to get it to update, or is it just a helpful hint kinda quest?

(BTW love the mod having great times with force push lol but having a bit of a hard time finding the gold to supply my want XP keep being awesome Xilver!)

Are there stats anywhere on the various summons? e.g. Summon Jelly, Summon Mellon Atronach, etc. I'd like to know how they compare in magicka cost vs. power.

There's some stuff about it in the first post under 'the astral plane', don't know if you're looking for something not answered there.

hi xilver,
I have a couple of spell ideas if you are interested, so here they are:

Slow Time - Creates a field that warp space and time, slowing nearby monsters and projectiles (http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj185/maxy999/?action=view¤t=slowtime.jpg)
Hydra - Summons a multi-headed fire beast that attacks your enemies with bolts of fire (http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj185/maxy999/?action=view¤t=hydra01.jpg)
Fire Wall (line) - similar to your fire wall, but it would stay in straight line on place where casted (http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj185/maxy999/?action=view¤t=fireline.jpg)
Mass Confusion - well name explains it all, it would confuse enemies in AoE

Excellent job with newest spells, you always manage to surprise me, continue with the great job :tops:

What is Midas's function really in this mod other than selling things? For me he never told me really anything about creating spells, astral realm or anything, he just greeted me and didn't really have any topics other than rumors and sells stuff. Thankfully it wasn't hard to figure out how to create the spells. Is there anything else he should be doing quest wise?

Also my first spells, midas chest, magic missles, force push, mark/recall, light arrows. Chest definatly handy, after two playthroughs before, having a place to put loot doesn't feel like a cheat this time, specially considering it can't be used during battles. Magic Missles, goes through walls, good with a detect life spell, light arrows for vampire bane.

I dont think that theese two are possieble..
the hydra would be incredibly hard to make because it would need totally custom animations..

hi this is my first time posting and i'm kinda new to modding. i just dl'ed your mod and it looks awesome, but im having some trouble running it. it works fine like i can go into his shop, the frat house, the broke back mine etc, but when i try to go into the beholden cave/lair, aurum's shop basemant, or when i try to create a spell, my game freezes up and displays an error message that kinda goes liek this "an error at (insert hex code) and (insert hex code) has occured. do you wish oblivion to debug it?" and whether i click yes or no, my game locks up and then quits. i was wondering if you could help me. i'm using all the official DLC like shivering isles etc and the only other mods im using are the unofficial oblivion patch, the druid class/profession mod and the ardonney's elven armor/weap mod. im running it on a mac (surprisingly well) using cider. i figured out how to put all my plugins in but for some reason this one just doesnt work. if anyone could help me thatd be great cause i really wanna check this mod out. im running it on a new macbook pro 2.56 GHZ and 4 GB of RAM. and please dont bash me for using a mac thats not why i posted

I am having a problem quite out of the blue. My wonderful tiger seems to have grown old and slow. I summon him and he runs no faster then I do now. I have tried resummoning, feather spells, exiting and restarting the game and nothing. Is my poor tiger in the twilight of his life?

Hi xilverbulet.
First of all: Amazing mod. Magic in Oblivion is so much more interesting due to your excellent work.

After playing with 9.9.0 for a bit, there are a few bugs I would like to report, as well as a few questions.
I realize this is a lot of bug reporting... I would like to emphasize that this isn't meant to be a negative review of the mod, just some functional QA work. I think "Midas Magic" is a must-have Oblivion mod.
My character has mainly been making use of the non-destruction schools of spells Midas has available in his lab.

POSSIBLE BUGS:
-------------------
A) "Entangle"
This is one the most used spells in my game, I've been enjoying its handiness. There is a bug which probably doesn't come up often, but because I zap almost every opponent with the spell, I have seen the defect a number of times. When the defect is observed, the location of the plant + opponent emits very long ("infinite") polygons. It's a tangled mess of polygons which quickly shifts position, probably because it is constantly colliding with the environment (banging noises are constantly played). I have reason to believe that these polygons are what has become of the opponent's dead corpse. The evidence for this is twofold: The rare times that the polygons had eventually gone away, the corpse was nowhere to be found. And there had been times where polygons would move in front of my mouse and for that brief time the name of the opponent would appear by the mouse with an icon for looting.
Often when this bug reproduces, I need to restart the game because the polygons are everywhere and/or I need something from the opponent's loot.
B) "Force Ball"
When the ball has traveled its full range, it stops in mid air and will remain floating there. It was quite the curious mystery the first time I encountered a shimmering orb floating in a forest. =)
There might be a bug where, if a creature way out in the distance is force-balled, the creature falls down and eventually gets up, and then it is force balled again, ...the creature will disappear before the second force ball reaches it. I observed this in Kvatch's Oblivion gate a few times, but I should investigate it further. At the time, I was zoomed in on the creatures (using the "binoculars" mod, so the right-mouse button was held down). I have not tried reproducing the bug without being zoomed in. But I did get these observations to reproduce during all 3 trials I had done. During one of the trials it MAY have been the case that the creature transported to a very different location... as I suddenly noticed a creature like it in a location where I did not think there were any creatures before. This new location was much closer to me.
C) "Missile Shield"
There was one instance where the shield remained static in one location rather than following the player. There was a lot of chaos going on during that skirmish, so it is hard to link any particular events as likely causing it. I can't recall if casting a new shield made the old one go away or not.
Also, there was one instance where I took falling damage while the shield was up. I have not reproduced this since, but I also haven't been falling much. This was a short fall, due to running across a rocky slope.
D) "Power Word Stun"
The manual's text reads, "Speaking this word will draw the attention of others." Is this meant to include friends? Casting this spell in the Leyawin mage's guild just now, while making sure not to target anyone, resulted in everyone attacking me. I reproduced this 2 out of 3 trials.
E) "Ring of Fire"
If more than one brandy is used to increase the power of the spell, only one of the brandies will be removed from the container. The proper level spell will still be created, however.
F) "Summon Pumpkin Atronach"
This is the only Midas summon spell I have tried so far. I don't know if the observed behavior is unique to the pumpkin summon or not.
There have been times where the summon would attack the player. I think every time this has happened, the summon had already been around for a bit (it did not attack the moment it was summoned.) I am not sure if walking through doors is one of the steps to reproduce the behavior, although that did happen at least once (maybe the summon was already "chasing" me before clicking on the door, however.)
Fairly often the summon will not attack an opponent which is charging the player (or even hitting the player, I think). If I do a vanilla summon then (such as summoning a scamp), this will often "Wake up" the pumpkin atronach and it will start to fight by my side.
Most every Midas spell I have tried felt like it was well balanced, the effort put into the spells' playability shows. The Pumpkin atronach is the only spell I've used so far which feels unbalanced, compared to Vanilla summon spells available at the same level and mana cost. It's a tank that stays on the screen for a very, very long time, and can be summoned along side vanilla summons (so there is more than 1 minion available for help.) Perhaps it's just a matter of decreasing the summon duration?
G) "Water Shell"
When trying out this spell, a shader is applied to the character and a message pops up concerning bound armor. Fine and dandy. However, after the mana is reduced by the spell's cost, the player's mana bar continues to tick down until it reaches 0 and will not tick back up. If "wait" is used to allow hours to pass by, the shader is still applied, but the mana bar is back at full. If ANY spell is cast then, the mana bar shall once again slowly tick down until it reaches 0.
H) "Light Arrow"
I probably should not report this one, has I had already reported it the last time I was playing Oblivion (which was late 2008). But just in case it has something to do with my computer set-up, I'll mention it again but with an offer to conduct any further tests on my machine if you think it may be worthwhile and are interested.
The manual's text states, "The arrow will illuminate the target area." I have not noticed any illumination from the arrows.
I) "Smoke Screen"
I haven't experimented with this one much.
The main time I had tried it, I was running through a dungeon casting the spell 2 or 3 times. At least one of the smoke screens never went away.
J) I imagine this one has already been reported, but there is a container next to the break-apart/combine apparatus which contains a great deal of materials. I imagine this is a test container which was accidentally left enabled for the release.

QUESTIONS
--------------
A) "Catapult"
Wow, that's rad. I've only tested it once, but that's a cool bit of mechanics.
I'm wondering if this is meant to have a use, aside from the cool factor? Do tossed objects cause damage to creatures hit by them?
I tried tossing myself (also casting "missile shield" to protect myself from the resulting trip), but attempting this caused my fatigue to drop to 0 and my character collapsed to the bottom of the catapult. I imagine this is intentional in order to keep players from tossing themselves, or perhaps it's due to an interaction with the "Realistic Fatigue" mod I also have installed.
B) "Smoke Screen"
Say, how does this one work? I haven't had a chance to play with this much yet, but the one time that I did look back to see how opponents handled it (a ghost, in this case), the ghost seemed to just enter and exit the smoke screen without tarrying. I need to play with it more, of course.

Thank you Don.

Hm.. there are some promising-looking mods out there to use in conjunction with the catapult ("Bottled Explosions" and "Throw Any Weapon"), but after reading their descriptions I doubt they would work on a pure havok basis, without the player explicitly using a "throw"-type scripted action.

So I just got wings of an angel spell... and every time I use it I just end up going straight up in the air (through walls, when I press 'w', my move forward key) with no way to get down (I get stuck above ceilings)? Is this a known issue or something or what?

Also Holy Flare has a tendency to just stop moving forward and just sit there moments after cast, forever.

"Missile Shield" is a low-level spell I try to get asap.
"Entangle" is also very useful for keeping enemies away from you, and cheap to cast. The balancing factor is that enemies are not paralyzed, just stuck. And they can escape if they have the right stats.
I hear you about the chest spell. I haven't tried it as it sounds like a direction that doesn't fall in with my play style. It's probably something lots of other players out there would like, though.
For damage spells, if you're using any mods that make it possible to bump into nests of Trolls at your level of 8 (I'm using "Ls Static NPCs for OOO", which does this), a mid-powered "Ring of Fire" seems to be quite affective against them. Mostly, though, I don't have much experience with the damage spells.

I have noticed strange blue dots in the astral pocket and zoomed through console using command "fov 5". It took me a while untill I noticed that those dots are force balls that missed the target.

Later, I wrote huge M made of force balls on the sky! :D

Hey, um, just thought I'd post again as my original question went unanswered. Somehow the portal that leads back to Midas's shop from the Astral Pocket has gotten displaced to one of the deeper levels of the Ayleid ruin Lindai. Help would be much appreciated, as it makes Astral Mark/Recall completely unusable. Is there a way that I can manually move it back with the console or something?

Did you try Midas' doorbell? That's supposed to reset his shop I think.
