Midnight Launch?

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:10 pm

If there is a midnight launch in my town, I'll go to it.

Will you?

I can't choose the option "I'm not buying at release, but I don't hate Skyrim"

I can't choose the option "I'm holding it off for a while". Depends on DRM, bugs, requirements etc what I will do, but I'll wait for user reviews at least.

Ever heard of "biased poll is biased"?
If it seems Skyrim delivers its full potential, I'll get it the day after or that weekend. Otherwise, I might wait until I've read enough reviews to decide.
Like Hoblak says, DRM will contribute greatly to my final decision.

Nope. 11-11-11 is a paid holiday. I'm sleeping in, then going to pick up Skyrim for a 3-day weekend of gaming.

I will probably open my door the next morning and find my copy waiting for me.

Since my local GameStation seems to exist in its own bubble of space and time that preorder bonuses physically can't penetrate, I'll have to order my copy online. I would go to the midnight launch if I had a game to pick up, though.

I'll pre-orer it and take a week of and play it. Then I'll enjoy my midnight lunch :)

What if I'm going to buy it later? There is no option for that... and the poll is very biased.

Yes I will be there at midnight and be playing it all through the weekend. I don't need user reviews or critic reviews. I'm an elder scrolls fan through and through.

Definitely going to the midnight launch!

I wonder if Bethesda is going to be doing game-signings at their local store?

There will not be a midnight launch because Gamestop/EB games don't hold midnight launches for good games. If there was I would get it during the midnight launch knowing I would probably be the only one there.

I think they will have one for Skyrim. Well at least the gamestop by me because they have a lot of midnight launches. Skyrim will be the big holiday release this year along with Uncharted 3.

Um what? They hold midnight releases for most hyped games. All WoW games, all Halo games, all CoD games. I don't even see how you can say that, because I've gone to like 8 myself.

When will pollers learn to put "other" as an option in there polls, all these polls try to stear you into answering a certain way.

What!? Really?

It is very unlikely, i'd say 99% unlikely that this game will get enough negative reveiws to stop you buying this game. I couldn't care less what anybody else thinks about this game, it's all about my experience with the game. I wouldn't even care if i was the only person in the world who liked it.

I know i am gonna love this game, and hell yeah i will be there at midnight!!!!

+1

THIS!

I just want to find out which Gamestop they're doing the signings at, so I can pre-order from the right place!

I don't know if it's a matter of buying/not buying the game so much as it is if it's worth paying the extra cost for the same product.

For me it's already decided... I like getting things at half price (or less), with the patches and mods already out.

d) none of the above

I will pre-order on Steam, install the game in advance and if New Vegas launch is any indication, most likely it will be unlocked at exactly the same time as the physical copies, or perhaps even while some people are still waiting in line at gamestop.

People who wait for reviews on Skyrim aren't true TES fans, I say. :slap:

If it's a school day, I'll wait till the afternoon. If it's on the weekend, or I happen to have the day off for some unknown reason, I'll drive down and pick it up asap.
