did anyone get a call from gamestop saying there going to be a midnight release launch but you can go there at 10:00pm and pick up the game at monday night? i just got the call its going to be awesome. :celebration:

No, but sadly, I didn't pre-order the game because my mom doesn't want to spend $60.00 on a game. Have to wait until christmas for the game.

I got the phone call too but I'll have to pick it up the next day because of work.

The store opens at 10pm Monday, game given out at midnight.

I too got the call and thought it was extreamly nice of them to alert everyone that preordered that they were doing this.. In Nebraska myself so maybe all Gamestops that hit a certain order rate did this..... Be sure to thank em when you pick up your game heh.

When they say come in at 10, it seems to me that they mean you can pay for it and get your receipt to show them at midnight and just be handed the game instead of having to actually pay for the game at midnight and save yourself the 2 minutes so you can get home and wait for 3 hours until steam unlocks it.

Just got my text an 30 minutes ago. Will be picking up FNV along with Vanquish. My girl is eating top raumen for the next 2 months I'm going to be a broke joke.

at 10PM you can pay for you game

BUT

You cannot leave the store with it until 12 midnight.


They do it that way so you can process your payment before midnight and leave right away.

I'm hoping I can just go at 11:50 and wait 10 minutes to pay and get the game rather than being forced to sit there for 2 hours. Either way, thanks to Steam, I have to wait till 3 to play it. I'll probably just end up going Tuesday morning instead.

I got a text. Kinda weird, but FREAKING AWESOME nevertheless. Waiting tomorrow will be worse than waiting the entire year for this game....

It's probably more along the lines of you paying at 10, getting a receipt and then going about your business elsewhere until midnight. Then you come back, show the receipt and get your game. EDIT: I just saw that you said you paid in full already. If that's the case and if what I'm saying is true, you should be able to show them your receipt if you have it or give them the phone number attached to your account so they can check if you don't have it.

I'm going to call tomorrow for an answer and if this is the case, I might just catch a movie at the nearby theater if there's one I'm interested in with a compatible time frame.

Your best bet would be to call your retailer and get a definite answer as everything we're saying is conjecture.

You get to hang out in the store that what my message said, and said it you get out at 12 if your one of the lucky people to get there and get to stand in the store the gamestop i go to here where i stay you have to get there and hour early just to get in on a midnight release, i love the midnight release's cause the other store's like the mom and pop videogame store hire people to have pick'it signs to get on the people's nerv's and yell bad trade in facts about gamestop, so they can get people come to there store its funny.

I got my text around noon Sunday but I called my gamestop on Thursday just to make sure they were having the midnight release. I seriously can't wait until Midnight Tuesday :flamethrower:
