As I posted in another thread

The Lyons BoS uses the "big gear on the right" version for most of thier stuff, its only on the left on thier armor IIRC.

The armor logo having the big gear on the left can be explained as being armor from the west, where it is on the left.

Even though I'd love to see and even join MW BoS, I doubt it due to the reasons stated in this thread. I hope that FoT will get a much deserved sequel in the future, somehow.

It seems to me that if they were going to go through the trouble of changing their logo for everything else, they'd repaint their amor, especially when they've customized the armor for Lyon's Pride.

Its not really much trouble to paint a logo for the first time the way you want it.

And why bother changing the armor logo when its basically the same thing anyways? It's not like an idiot wastelander is really going to get confused over the BoS logo because the gear is on one side or the other. They are so identically visual there's no point to it.

On another note..... guess who is in Fallout shelter?

I think it would be awesome if they brought them back.

It just seems weird not to keep things uniform for your logo. Besides, what was the point of changing the logo in the first place? Symbols don't really change without a meaning, so what motivated the change? Was it the schism? Or did someone hold the stencil backwards when drawing on the Citadel and Lyon's just went "Screw it! We're doing 'em all like that!"?

Come to think of it, what kind of logo are the Outcasts using?

Edit: Just looked it up. It's a very different http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_Outcasts.

If this does happen, I will not be vacationing at any resorts that have an "Arbeit macht frei" sign over the front entrance.

I'm not sure the insignia is the smoking gun. Now if we had seen the MWBoS PA helmet, that would be something.

I think the name, and not the insignia, on the airship is most telling.

Just speculating but, wouldn't this be the symbol for LBoS now? http://i.imgur.com/jEM7Y81.png

Considering they've split from the regular BoS, I would think the whole organization would adapt that symbol and not just the Lyons Pride.

My thoughts exactly. The Midwestern Brotherhood can't really be a formidable military power in the current canon - if they were why couldn't Lyons and his team find them while heading east? Where were they when the Legion was conquering the tribes of the Midwest? Clearly they're a small group if they even still exist, and in no position to be assaulting Boston.

Probably an oversight then, because when I looked it up, I found this: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/4/4a/Citadel_courtyard.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120527021208

They've had run-ins with the Legion, though they lost. I wouldn't view that as proof they're small though; the Legion really has their [censored] together when it comes to war, so losing to them just puts them on par with....well, every other faction.

Not sure if it's just on my phone, but the resolution on that picture is really bad. Can't make out the symbol.

Really? Weird, it works fine for me.

Well anyways all you need to know is it's a picture of the Citadel courtyard with the insignia at the top, but this time the insignia is the traditional version with the big gear on the left. This isn't the only instance of the traditional symbol within the Citadel either. So yeah, probably an oversight.

Civil war between Lyons Chapter and the Midwestern Chapter, yes please. Also i hope they put Sarah Lyons in this game, preferably leading their front in Boston.

Probably, if you are talking about the one I am thinking of, its the same texture we see inside the Citadel's lab area.

Given how everything else, including DLC added items, shows it on the right, its likely that texture was mirrored or flipped on accident when put into the game, which is why it appears on the left.

Also, dont know if anyone saw this on the last page

Given how Fallout shelter has many things seemingly from Fallout 4 in it, is it possible Sarah is coming back as well?

If Fallout 4 is in 2277 considering the only thing we've heard in regards to timeline is that it's been 200 years, then I'm rather doubtful Sarah Lyons (or anything character from Fallout 3) would make an appeared.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Todd said 200 years, but people often say stuff like "it was 600 years ago." when it was really 637 years ago. Its just a common shortening of words because, at such a length of time, the few years past 600 don't really matter.

Bethesda has also said they dont really do prequels or side stories, every game is always in the future compared to the last one, even if its only by a few years.

ironicaly you can use that logic for anything in any fallout game. The real question is why would they not use anything from any previous fallout game or even anything that exists in reality.

The answer is that if it fits or makes the story they are telling at the time work then they should use it.

@AP, I thought that myself, but didn't Codsworth say 200 years as well? He's a robot, so I just assume he would go about everything approximately. Just my assumption however.

If he was approximating like he did with the coffee pot temp at the beginning of the tutorial, he would have given years, months, days, and possibly hours, minutes, and seconds as well.
