Midwestern Brothers- OOC Thread 2

Post » Sat May 17, 2014 8:13 pm

Sounds fine. Thanks.

Like I said, I think what's more making me a bit uneasily at the moment is the fact that its a young girl. Which is a bit jarring.

If Truax was doing this to a gruff n' tough MLA veteran or something. I wouldn't have even said anything. I mean, hell, remember the interrogation scene in Heart of Aztia? That was pretty rough. But we were also torturing a torturer, so sympathy sort of went out the window.

So yeah, next time I'll try to direct that a bit better with regards to interrogation opportunities etc.

Yeah, that's what Ranger suggested to. Keep it detailed, but not too detailed. Being too visceral might cause issues.

Not a problem at all. Like I said, I totally get it. I felt the same when I wrote it to be quite honest

Oh yes, I do remember than. That was what got me to want to play as an Inquisitor after all  That thumb-screw thing Praxx used on the UMD guy was pretty gruesome stuff. True though, there wasn't much sympathy for him I don't think

Anyway, not to worry. I'm sure they'll be other times the Inquisitors "skills" will be necessary.

Edit* Which also reminds me, I need to untie the woman so Truax can have his rope back.

Reminds me of Boondock Saints.

"You never know what you're going to need a rope for, you just always [censored] need it."

I also didn't really comprehend what HR-0088 had done until ewok posted. Damn, he injected infected blood into a Med-X vial. That's cold.

I know the MWBoS are a "don't [censored] with me kind of people". But I can't seem them taking out a whole town of people simply because they don't have any information. "What you don't have supplies :gun: "

They aren't a bunch of roid rage meat heads lol.

Not everything has to be "do as I say or die." Just saying. They have the armour and the weapons and Deathclaws. But they know nothing and they just started this quest. Are they really going to risk getting hurt or even someone getting a lucky shot and killing one of them? At the very least they have to think about their supplies. Wasting a whole town would waste supplies and the town clearly doesn't have what they need in terms of ammo.

Well no-one has started shooting yet. And, at least part of my intention with my previous post, was to indicate that the town could put up something of a fight. Which might make the group think twice about continuing the current path.

Patience dear Styles. All (might) be resolved.

We have a few rather level headed Brotherhood members. Cooler heads can prevail.

I take the groups aggression as a direct response to the virus. They don't know who to trust so to speak so they view any possible threat to be MLA.

I am getting pretty sleepy but didn't I just read that the Deathclaws just butchered a bunch of people? Granted towns people started it but still blood is flowing.

But yeah it is interesting, one of the reasons I am still awake, going to regret it tomorrow morning though. So I should be going soon lol.

Indeed.

The MWBOS were vicious bastards before the virus hit. Torturing people, enslavement of mutants etc.

Now with a large portion of their population dead and infected, they are paranoid. Frightened even. They haven't encountered this sort of enemy before. One that they can't physically fight. You can't shoot a virus, or wage war on it.

So they are taking out some of this pent up rage on these innocent townsfolk.

Don't think so. Torex, Traven's Deathclaw, killed an armed thug that punched and threatened scribe Roslin. That was it.

Edit: And Brisby was ordered to hunt down the rest of the gang.

I see things might work out here. Pretty suspenseful lol. Things are getting good. But I must go now. My apologies if I am slowing things down by leaving.

No problem, we'll have to see if the townsfolk calm down and realize how insane it is for a hardened Paladin-Commander to disarm for commoners.

Pardon for the double-post but I have another Hale post in the oven here. Shouldn't be too long before it's done.

Went searching for a picture that I thought looked like Bill Holliday, and I found it (Sam Elliot I think is who the actor is).

Just because I'm having more fun than I thought playing a western NPC cowboy character.

Also that was a good diffusion of the situation Ranger. I have to admit, I didn't really want a massacre on our hands.

Is a late Paladin or Knight entry acceptable. I've had my eye on this RP for a little while now, and it looks like a great deal of fun.

Yes. Very much acceptable. We are in need of more Paladins and/or Knights, since most of our Paladin/Knight group right now is NPCs.

So yes, put in a character sheet. We'd love to have you.

I would say so. We have only have one that isn't an NPC I think, and I know Andro was wanting more of them.

Edit* Andro ninja'd me :ninja:

Excellent! Glad to have you aboard Fish, very glad indeed. It'll be great to have another Paladin/Knight. :D

Thank you, I figured it would be how Hale would face his morality and try to do what was right. A massacre wasn't needed there, for sure.

I do hope there's some nice retribution for all that just went down.

Torture, murder, beatings, threatening to wipe the town out.

All of that combined with the haughty attitudes.

It would be shame if that all just went over and you moved on to the next scenario. You've made me hate the characters quite well, but I wouldn't want to just read about them going from place to place doing the same thing again and again without consequence.

I'd be happy to RP some of the consequences of your goose-steppery myself.

Yes, I may have been a bit overzealous with the initial allowances. Although it was Traven and Truax who performed most of the "haughtiness" and to be fair, they are members of the Midwestern Inquisition. Not exactly the nicest types to begin with.

And yes, I know what you mean. I don't want everyone to get bored with the "lets go sack a town!" business. But my intent with this first town was to give a chance for the Midwestern members to let off steam. While these townspeople are completely innocent, they are close enough to the MLA that the Midwest, and especially this group, partly blames them for their troubles. Even if the town didn't do anything.

The town however, is sufficiently pissed off.

Edit: Its also important to note that their will only be one more town before the main plot is revealed. Namely, who is behind the plague.

Well I think we'd be glad to have some interesting RP dialogue. Depending on what you have in mind.

Andronicus. I'm hoping you don't mind if I RP the two guards escorting Ms. Taming, for dialogue purposes and to get Redfield caught up with the group.

Pointing out that the Midwestern Brotherhood might not have really cared much about medical care, what with people like http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Blythe and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4glIl__2rzg Then again this was a long time ago timeline wise and before Barnaky taking power.
