Might build a new PC. Think it'll handle C2?

Also consider getting a good CPU cooler and a gaming case. Im using a Antec 900 case and a CoolerMaster V8 cpu cooler. This is the PERFECT time to do a CPU cooler, while your building it.. svcks doing it after its built, just a heads up.

The clocks do NOT make a large difference. I read a very good review and the cumulative difference b/t stock and OC is only 7.5%. This is only a few fps depending on the settings. It may seem like a smart idea to go cheap with a 5770 but I wouldn't recommend it at all. My suggestion would be to save up some money for another month or two and by then maybe the prices will drop slightly.

Wrong. Clock speeds, as I said, do make a big difference. Get your facts straight. Clock speeds are the speeds at which the card runs, faster the speeds, faster the card.

I just provided clear evidence that your statement is wrong. If you refuse to believe it then go ahead and waste money on a factory OC card that will provide marginal benefits.

Waste money? I'll be saving 100$+. Saying "I read a very good review" does not prove anything. That guys (Or girls) review could be just as incorrect as you.

Com'on guys, lets just end this. Hardware debates goes to the Mac users. Aka Mac vs PC groups.

Tom's is very reputable. The gain from an oc 5770 is nothing near the gain of a 5850 that you can also OC. I am trying to help you save or get more value for your money.

Seriously, why ask for help if you are just going to ignore the advice you asked for?

I would go for the 5850 and overclock it, or get the 5870. Otherwise, you can go ahead and feel the chug when you play. If you don't have the money, you should just buy a GeForce 8800, save tons of cash ($50 at most, still a good card), and then upgrade it to a Radeon 5850 or 5870 when you can afford. There is no point in throwing money down the drain, but you can continue to be in denial from the people you ASKED to help you. The difference between a Radeon 5870 and 5770 is substantial, and it scales much better with higher end monitor resolutions and EyeFinity.
