Mildly Odd Dialogue Issue.

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 4:06 am

I've recently downloaded a large number of mods into Morrowind. Now, when I try to speak to NPCs, they say something like, "This is the Al-May-Ra, do you like it? It's my mother's, but sometimes I get to sleep in the rooms." I can't choose any dialogue options (because they no longer exist.) I don't know how to show you my load order, but if someone tells me I can.

Thanks in advance!

About your load order (From the MORROWIND MODS FAQ sticky):

HOW TO POST YOUR MOD LIST:
* Open your 'Morrowind.ini file (C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Morrowind/Morrowind.ini in default installations).
* Scroll down until you see [Game Files]. Here you will find your mod list.
* Highlight your mod list (hold your left mouse button down and drag the cursor down the page), right-click on the highlighted area and choose 'Copy'.
* Right-click in your post and choose "Paste".

About the problem... It sounds like a greeting is just unfiltered in one of the mods. Need to find out what one it is before it can be fixed.

EDIT: Listen to Pluto down there about the load order. I'm an idjit and thought that the INI listed them in the order they loaded. Not sure how to get a text copy of the order from Wyre Mash, but for Mlox it is as easy as highlighting the list under Active Plugins and hitting CTRL+C

The ini does not show Load Order. It just lists them alphabetically. (although it is still handy to see)

But Wrye Mash or Mlox can give you a text listing of your Load Order for you to post here.

About your problem, are you using TESTool's Merged_Dialog.esp? If so, deactivate it.
