We now have about 3000 people total on at any one time, max, across all three platforms. That's a retention rate of 0.1%. Has there ever been a bigger demo disaster than this?
Even if we're generous and say that's only 10% of the active playerbase on at any one time, then we're still left with just 1%. Only 1 in 100 people enjoyed the experience enough to stay. That's not 1 in 100 gamers, but 1 in 100 people significantly interested enough in the Crysis experience to download the beta.
That really needs some soul searching somewhere from someone in charge. Was not bothering to budget to fix the terrible networking from Crysis 2, despite having two years to do it, really worth the paltry amount of money you saved in relation EA?
