Rivet City
---
They trekked toward DC and to Galaxy News, taking the lives of Super Mutants and Raiders as they went. The work that had once seemed mundane and neccessary now seemed enjoyable. With the constant "Nice job, lover" comments they gave to each other, killing and fighting in the wasteland made them much happier than it had before. It also appeared that all of the wastes knew they were together now. They were listen to a classic rendition of Mack The Knife, when 3-dog came in with his usual news report.
"Hey kids! 3-Dog as always! Guess what-more news coming to the wastessss!"
"This is a real good one kids. You know the Saints of 101? The best damn thing to happen to the wasteland? WEEEELLLL....guess what? It looks like the fly cats finally found someone...each other! Yep, you heard me right kids! Our Brotherhood pals recently spotted Amata and Steven flirting with one another...and...get this...KISSING! I couldn't make this [censored] up if I tried. Man, you shoulda heard the things those cats said! 'Oh, Steven, I love you so much! Kiss me you fool!" Three dog began laughing hysterically. "Stay tuned for more news. Now, here's more Bobby Darin."
Steven and Amata both looked at each other. "Well," Amata said, "guess the whole wasteland knows now, huh?"
"Yep." Steven said. "Getting into Galaxy News is going to be a bit akward."
And it was just that. While they made their way inside Galaxy News and up to Three Dog's room, the Brotherhood soldiers said things like "There go the 101 lovebirds!" and one guy even asked Steven "How was it? Come on, tell me."
"I swear," Steven began. "I am gonna strangle Three Dog..."
"Get in line." Amata said.
And when they got into Three Dog's studio, he was surprised to see them. "Well well well!" He exclaimed. "If it isn't the Saints of 101! What's up, guys!"
Amata and Steven didn't return the happy feeling. "Three Dog," Steven began, "why the hell did you tell the entire wasteland that we were together?"
Three Dog threw his head back and laughed. "Come on, Steven! You two are loved by all those in the wastes! Can you imagine a more perfect story? Two saints to the wasteland, falling in love? It..almost brings tears to my eyes..."
Steven ignored the sarcasm. "Whatever. Well, i've got another story for you. We've decided we finally want to look for my dad."
Three Dog looked surprised. "REALLLLLLYY? I thought you gave that up ages ago. Well, there is a good piece of info I never told you. Back when you two were first coming out of the Vault, your dad...James, I think his name was...said something about going to Rivet City. I always wondered what he meant, and what he wanted, but meh. I suppose that's a good enough place as any to start your search."
"Thanks, 3-Dog." Amata said. "And for the record, i'd like you to stop telling the whole wasteland about us being together."
Three Dog sighed. "All right, all right. Suit yourselves. Have a good one!"
And so they exited Galaxy News, and headed off to Rivet City. While they were scrounging a pack of raiders they just finished off, a classic song, It's Bad For Me, started playing on the radio. Amata was cleaning off one of the raiders when she heard it on the radio. The lyrics of the song and the sight of Steven staring at the stars, with his sleeves torn off...
She walked toward him. "Steven..."
"Yes?" Steven replied.
She didn't even have to say anything. With the song playing in the backround, they threw down Steven's sleeping matress, and made love.

Well, I was hoping to get a bit of feedback first.
I plan on making another one tomorrow, I just don't want it to conform to the main storyline entirely.

This is realllllly good!! Keep up the good work! However, I'm not quite sure those things that are underlined should be (I may be wrong) and you should capitalize the song title.

Highlighting is a bit less aggressive then capitalizing. Captializing, imo, GIVES PEOPLE THE IMPRESSION YOU ARE SHOUTING AT THEM

I love this story. I always wondered what it would be like if Amata and the Lone Wanderer were a couple.

Project Purity
---
The Sun rose in the distance. Beams of light came through the crevices of the destroyed building that Steven and Amata had spent the night in. Inside, the sun woke up both of them. Amata stretched, and layed her head against Steven.
"Steven..." She began.
"Good morning, Amata. Have a good sleep?" He joked.
She laughed. "I always enjoyed your sense of humor. Listen...do you mind if I tell you something?"
"Sure, Amata, i'm all ears."
Amata kissed Steven on the cheek. She smiled at him a smile of love before beginning to speak.
"You remember back in the Vault, how reserved and by yourself you always were? Me, Jonas and your Dad were the only people you ever talked too."
"Well, yeah, I remember. I was never too good with other people. Why do you ask?"
She giggled. "I always found that absolutely adorable. The way you were by yourself all the time. I remember one time, when we were around 14, you were home sick from school..."
"I never got sick that much. It was rare for me; I remember."
"I skipped school that day. Remember my excuse? 'Mr. Brotch said I could skip school'?"
"Hmm....yeah, I remember that. It's been a while."
"Well..." She started laughing again, then looked him in the eye. "It was a lie."
"Really?" Steven said, slightly surprised. "Why was that?"
"Well, because I wanted to take care of you. I told myself it was because you were a good friend, and that was all...now I know I was kidding myself. When I came in your room, you were so adorable laying on your bed, sick and tired, like a little lost puppy..."
Steven blushed, a bit embarassed by the comparison. "Well, thanks. I remember how happy I was to see you..."
After staying there for a few more minutes, they got up, and got dressed. They gave each other a kiss, and began a long trek toward Rivet City. When they finally got there, they realized they had no idea where to search. But that wasn't really an issue; as they were crossing the bridge, a woman in a lab coat, who looked to be in her 40s, was running towards them.
"Hey! You!" She screamed, frantic. "You two there! I need your help!"
Walking to meet her, they met about midway through the bridge.
"Whoa! What's wrong, lady?" Steven said, surprised.
"You two! You're Steven and Amata, correct?"
"Yes, that's us." said Amata, chiming in. "What do you want?"
"My name is Doctor Li. Madison Li. Please, follow me to the science lab. We need to talk."
"Uhh...okay." said Steven, clearly confused. They followed Doctor Li to the Rivet City science lab, a place they had never been before. Once inside, Doctor Li sat them down.
"So you're James' son, hmm?" She said.
Steven and Amata were taken back. She know his Dad?
"Sit down a moment." She said, and she took a seat.
"Hold on," Steven said, a bit anxious, "are you telling me that you know my father?"
"Know him?" She said, and laughed. "I worked with him! Way back before you were born. I worked with you and your mom..."
Steven cringed a bit. He hated when people mentioned his mom.
"When your Mom and Dad met each other, they had you, and we abandoned a project we had been working on at Jefferson Memorial."
"Project?" Amata chimed in. "What sort of Project?"
"Project Purity." Li said. "We were constructing it to purify the water in the wasteland. Imagine that...clean water out here!" she sighed. "Anyway, after Steven was born, we gave up the Project." She looked at Steven. "You and your father moved into Vault 101, back before it was closed."
Even though they had seen that coming, it still hit them like a ton of bricks. "You mean..." Steven began, "I wasn't born in Vault 101?"
"No, you weren't." Li continued. "They shut it a little while after you were born. Then, all of a sudden, James comes back out of nowhere, and decides to start the project again."
Amata and Steven held each other for a moment. It was a lot to take in, his true past.
"I've heard about both of you." Li said abruptly. "The 'Saints of 101', eh? James said you were good friends; I guess that changed after a while."
They both looked at each other. Their faces said what they didn't: they didn't want to tell Doctor Li about them having six.
"Yes," Amata said, "yes, it did. I take it you heard that from Three Dog?"
Li laughed. "Yes, the whole wasteland did. Sorry; I didn't mean to embarass you. Anyway, I was reluctant to approach you at first, I had assumed you didn't really care about finding your dad anymore. But after Three Dog told the wasteland about that too, I figured you could help."
"All right," said Steven, "shoot."
"Well, the main problem with Project Purity was that we didn't have a G.E.C.K. It was created before the war as a way of creating life after the bombs fell. The creator of these G.E.C.K.s had his own personal Vault, Vault 112. James discovered the location, and he went there looking for clues. That was months ago; we haven't heard from him since."
"Can you give us the coordinates?" Steven asked.
"Sure; i'll put them on your PipBoys. Good luck finding your dad."
And so, Steven and Amata left Rivet City, in search of Vault 112.

Vault 112
---
Amata said beside the tranquility lounger, waiting. Once they had taken the time to track the Vault down, there was only 1 open pod. So, Steven decided to go in, and she "stood guard". She had become more and more worried. It had been several hours, and all this time, he had been sitting there, motionless. Some time later, two pods opened. She was standing next to Steven's when he came out.
"Steven! You're OK!" She exclaimed, and rushed to help him.
"Yeah..." Steven began, weak from sitting for hours, "i'm OK."
Almost the instant he got up, she kissed him. They probably would've never stopped, had they not heard a voice behind them.
"Steven? Amata?"
Steven looked behind him. He had almost forgotten about his dad. He stepped over to meet him.
"Dad..you're alright!" He said.
"Yes, i'm fine, and thank you for saving me. But..what are you doing here?"
"Well..."
"And why is Amata here with you?"
"You see..."
"And why were you two just kissing?"
"One at a time, will you?"
"Sorry, son. Go on."
"First off, it's you who has to answer, not me. Why did you leave the Vault without warning me?"
"Son, I wanted you to stay there. I assume since you've gotten this far, you already know why I left. But you were supposed to stay in the Vault."
"Well," Amata interjected, "that didn't work out too well when my dad killed Jonas and tried to kill Steven."
"Jonas is dead?" He said, surprised. "That's terrible...well, it didn't work out the way I wanted it too. I wander what your father has done, now that you've left..."
"I don't know. But I don't want to know. We left that Vault, and we know we're never going back."
"Well, now that you're here, you can help us. I found what I was looking for. We need a G.E.C.K., true, and thankfully, Braun put one in this Vault- he did create them, after all. With it, we can finally start Project Purity...imagine...clean water for the wasteland!"
"We know; Doctor Li told us." Steven said.
"I take it you two developed a bit of a closer relationship?" said James, a bit smug in his tone.
"More than that." Amata said.
"Dad," said Steven, "remember what you were saying about how old photographs could never really show how much you loved Mom? Well, now I know what you meant. The way you felt about Mom...it's how I feel about Amata."
"Funny," Amata said, "you never really expect it when you fall in love." She giggled, and she kissed him on the cheek. Steven smiled warmly at her.
"I never would've guessed." said James, smiling. "I say you should take love when you can find it. Good for you two."
"We'll meet you at Rivet City." said Steven. "Good to see you again, Dad."
"It's good to see you too, son. I'll get there as soon as I can. Good luck."
The three of them walked up too the front of the garage, and Amata and Steven said goodbye to James. After that, they were both very tired. They flipped on Galaxy News, which was playing Easy Living. Going back into the garage, they layed down on the mattress, and stared at the ceiling for a little while, talking to each other about life in the wasteland. After about 15 minutes, Amata layed her head on Steven, and they went too sleep, eager for the quest that tomorrow would bring.

Distress signal
---
They were on their way to Rivet City, near Megaton, when Steven's PipBoy started beeping like crazy. At first, he thought they were picking up the ever varying People's Republic of America radio signal, which had gone on and off. But when Steven looked at his PipBoy, he gawked at it for several minutes.
"What's wrong?" Amata asked.
"Oh my god..." Steven said, scarcely believing what he was seing, "this thing has a signal called 'Vault 101 emergency distress signal'..."
"What? Are you joking?"
"Heck no. I wanna hear what it has to say." Steven activated the radio signal:
"101 EMERGENCY DISTRESS SIGNAL. MESSAGE PLAYBACK:
It's been a long time since you guys left. I don't know if you even remember us or not. But if you get this, please, you have to come down here. This have gone to hell since you've gone...please...if you still care about the Vault, stop exploring and come help us! I changed the Vault door code to my first name. Help us! Please...
It was Susie Mack. Steven let it play on a loop for 10 minutes; they stood motionless. Abruptly, Steven shut it off, and stared at Amata.
"Well..." he began, "what do you want to do?"
Amata spoke up quickly. "I...I think we should go back. They may hate us all, but it is where we grew up. We can't just leave Vault 101 to rot."
Steven thought for a moment. Then, he nodded at Amata. "You're right. We have to help them out."
Their trek back to Vault 101 was long and silent. Usually, they spent long journeys professing their love to one another or talking about current events in the Wasteland. This time, they were silent. When they finally made their way to the giant door of Vault 101 and entered the code, they had a feeling things were going to get real bad, real fast.
When they entered the Vault, Officer Gomez came rushing up to them.
"Stay away from here!" He yelled. "I don't know how you wastelanders got that door open, but..." he stopped when he realized who they were. "Oh my god...it's you two! My god, how did you manage to get in here? I guess I can't say i'm too surprised..."
Steven spoke up. "We got a distress signal from Susie Mack. What happened down here?"
Officer Gomez flinched. "Susie? She's hold up in the clinic. I guess you'll need a bit of a briefing."
"The night after you two left, a lot of your old friends started thinking, 'why do we have to stay if we can leave?' Overseer Mack didn't like..."
"Whoa." Amata interrupted. "Mack? Allen Mack? What happened to my father?"
Gomez signed a heavy sigh. "Amata...after you left, your father was devastated. He had planned to kill you if you stayed, but once you left, he became very depressed. He kept ranting about how he had driven his only daughter away...and..well...he hung himself."
Amata's eyes, for a moment, shifted to the Doe-like innocence that Steven remembered so well from the day they left the Vault. She looked like she was about to cry. "You mean..." she said weakly, "my father's dead?"
Gomez nodded grimly.
Amata looked at Steven, then down at the floor. Finally, she spoke up, weakly. "What...were you saying about Allen Mack?"
"Well," Gomez continued, "he didn't like the idea of people wanting to leave the Vault. He kept a tight leash on your friends, so they fought back. Over the past few months, Vault 101's been split between rebels and security."
Amata and Steven stared at each other for a few moments. Then, talking for both of them, Steven spoke up.
"Take us to Susie and the Rebels."
Gomez nodded, and asked them to follow him.
