Rivet City
---
They trekked toward DC and to Galaxy News, taking the lives of Super Mutants and Raiders as they went. The work that had once seemed mundane and neccessary now seemed enjoyable. With the constant "Nice job, lover" comments they gave to each other, killing and fighting in the wasteland made them much happier than it had before. It also appeared that all of the wastes knew they were together now. They were listen to a classic rendition of
Mack The Knife, when 3-dog came in with his usual news report.
"Hey kids! 3-Dog as always! Guess what-more news coming to the wastessss!"
"This is a real good one kids. You know the Saints of 101? The best damn thing to happen to the wasteland? WEEEELLLL....guess what? It looks like the fly cats finally found someone...each other! Yep, you heard me right kids! Our Brotherhood pals recently spotted Amata and Steven flirting with one another...and...get this...KISSING! I couldn't make this [censored] up if I tried. Man, you shoulda heard the things those cats said! 'Oh, Steven, I love you so much! Kiss me you fool!" Three dog began laughing hysterically. "Stay tuned for more news. Now, here's more Bobby Darin."
Steven and Amata both looked at each other. "Well," Amata said, "guess the whole wasteland knows now, huh?"
"Yep." Steven said. "Getting into Galaxy News is going to be a bit akward."
And it was just that. While they made their way inside Galaxy News and up to Three Dog's room, the Brotherhood soldiers said things like "There go the 101 lovebirds!" and one guy even asked Steven "How was it? Come on, tell me."
"I swear," Steven began. "I am gonna strangle Three Dog..."
"Get in line." Amata said.
And when they got into Three Dog's studio, he was surprised to see them. "Well well well!" He exclaimed. "If it isn't the Saints of 101! What's up, guys!"
Amata and Steven didn't return the happy feeling. "Three Dog," Steven began, "why the hell did you tell the entire wasteland that we were together?"
Three Dog threw his head back and laughed. "Come on, Steven! You two are loved by all those in the wastes! Can you imagine a more perfect story? Two saints to the wasteland, falling in love? It..almost brings tears to my eyes..."
Steven ignored the sarcasm. "Whatever. Well, i've got another story for you. We've decided we finally want to look for my dad."
Three Dog looked surprised. "REALLLLLLYY? I thought you gave that up ages ago. Well, there is a good piece of info I never told you. Back when you two were first coming out of the Vault, your dad...James, I think his name was...said something about going to Rivet City. I always wondered what he meant, and what he wanted, but meh. I suppose that's a good enough place as any to start your search."
"Thanks, 3-Dog." Amata said. "And for the record, i'd like you to stop telling the whole wasteland about us being together."
Three Dog sighed. "All right, all right. Suit yourselves. Have a good one!"
And so they exited Galaxy News, and headed off to Rivet City. While they were scrounging a pack of raiders they just finished off, a classic song,
It's Bad For Me, started playing on the radio. Amata was cleaning off one of the raiders when she heard it on the radio. The lyrics of the song and the sight of Steven staring at the stars, with his sleeves torn off...
She walked toward him. "Steven..."
"Yes?" Steven replied.
She didn't even have to say anything. With the song playing in the backround, they threw down Steven's sleeping matress, and made love.
