Minecraft Thread #73

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 4:44 pm

I don't want to, I'll cry and rage. Plus I'm in work till 4 and won't be on till 6ish but he is right, the disco was the source of a chuck of my lack but there was something else in the area around the disco and my house, unless the wiring is doing it without being actually actived.
I think Elrond and I got it, it was an issue in the devices used to flicker the lights, but when he changed some of the wiring, the FPS improved dramatically, however, if the problem persists, I'll quickly rush to finish a bedroom at the hotel for you to stay in.

No don't rush, make it nice like the one in the previous thread that made me go "nice" outloud. :)

There is a link if you follow the http://tesfan.mchost.org/ link in the OP

Assuming you meant the "intalling technic" discussion, that didn't work. The installation won't progress at the second bat file. And when I try to join after using the installer the server kick me out becasue of "outdated servers".

New version of Tekkit might be installed today for the server, so you don't have to worry about fiddling around with your files.

Also be sure to register on the forums with your MC username.

You need to downgrade to 1.0 from 1.1 using MCnostalgia or wait until the server updates. Tank can help you with this, too.

Can I get a complete list of all the mods we use on this server?
And does Bukkit work on SSP?

I want to make my single player as close to this as possible.

Could someone link mento the method of holding multiple minecrafts and switching with a .bat?

Or could I alternately jus make a copy of my .Minecraft and hold one version there, installing my technic super modded out copy Into A new .Minecraft folder, then switch my .Minecraft folders out depending on what I wanna play?

I’ve been having some stability problems with my latest world and I’m thinking of restarting. Is there any way to hacking in a ton of resources, even if it’s just to change the # of items in a chest? While starting from scratch can be fun I’ve got a very large stockpile of resources from the past few weeks and now it looks doubtful that I’ll be able to use them.

Single player commands, Too many items and Not Enough Items are the first methods which come to mind. Pretty easy to install too.

Question: Do I download the Tekkit 2.0?

Edit: My confusion is I'm not sure exactly what we're doing here. Do we download 2.0 and update our minecrafts to the latest versions?

Edit 2: I downloaded the proper version, but I'm not sure what to do now. It said it was downloading the launcher, but I can't seem to find this launcher anywhere.

Download http://tesfan.mchost.org/TechnicLauncher-v0.2.exe . Run it, it will launch it's own minecraft launcher. At the top left, there is a mod selector, choose Tekkit. You should see it download all the needed files.

Tekkit 2.0 is bugged at the moment, they screwed up some blockids. If you get the launcher working, the test server is just tesfan.mchost.org

Nothing. I tried to run it, and it's like I clicked I didnt click it. It doesn't do anything for me, no windows launching or anything. :(

Edit: To clarify, the icon when clicked stops at 'Checking Launcher Version', then just goes away.

Edit 2: I'd like to apologize for all the hand holding and questions, it's just Minecraft is technically my first PC Game I've ever modded, so I'm completely new to understanding where things go and what I'm doing wrong. :(

I love how Tekkit 2 is completely separate from normal Minecraft now.

Also the 2.0 launcher does nothing for me either.

its too weird and disruptive, ogres, jumping things that jump on you robots. in general a bunch of mobs that get in the way of the main aspects of minecraft; gathering materials and building.

Woah. Hold on. The robots and whatnot are More Creeps And Weirdos, and that's NOT in Tekkit (thank god). I believe you can also specify what Mo' Creatures you can have spawning in its config file, and I'm sure we can run a restricted spawnlist with just the basic non-destructive ones like rats and whatnot. I agree, No ogres on our server!

well if thats the case i will try it out, but i dislike the idea of having mobs that are obtrusive. i don't care much for the industrial craft stuff but atleast i can choose to not use it, so as long as this ever growing list of boehemian mods are also take it or leave it i guess i don't mind.

Whoops! It had to happen at some point so here it is. Tekkit 2.0 isn’t ready for release because there are multiple small issues. (deathrat :argh:)

Since we can’t fix the server downloads on the fly we’ve taken it down.
Keep in mind that updates to the client will reflect our fixed server version we will put up, so if you are currently using Tekkit 2.0 be aware that people connecting with the client (once the systems are fixed) will no longer be able to connect to your server since block ID’s will be mis-matched.
Sorry guys.
Also, Mo' Creatures doesn't appear to be in. ComputerCraft is in though, so we'll need to disable the HttpAPI for security's sake.
