Do mines regerate their minerals?

Since the question was already answered and we are just talking randomly, I will note that TES ebony is not the same as our wood, but is supposedly "the crystallized blood of the gods".

...I was hoping that the target of that question would be the one to answer that :) seeing as he equates in-game with real life :D

Try reading your reply with the correct context, and see if it makes any more sense :D

If it somehow does, could you explain to me how ebony, which is a wood, can be mined?

Because, TES Ebony and TES Glass are not the ebony and glass of our world...they are both volcanic material as opposed to wood and melted sand respectively of our world.

But anyway, the message of your post is right. I have indeed seen mining nodes respawn, though it seems to take a while (rightly).

1st of all If we could mine and dig in actual mountain to get resources like Iron and ect that way then no one would be asking if mine veins re spawn.
But we cant mine and dig stuff up in this world can we? So its a legitimate question whether or not the veins re spawn.

2nd You and I both know backwards flying dragons are a bug. Quit trying to make that an excuse because you made yourself look like an ass.

My point is people are forgetting that the game has fantasy elements and is not supposed to be a real-world simulator. Gold can be a entire race of termite people for all I care. I was pointing out the ridiculous nature of the question OP was asking.

Try digging up some gold in real life, and go back a week later to see if it grew back.

Look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_of_disbelief.

Backward flying dragons breaks this.

Mines "restocking" does not because it is a game. Were it real life, you could dig deeper or start a new mine.

Were it real life a dragon flying in any direction would be questionable, not just flying backward.

The OP was a legitimate question, your rebuttal was not.

That is all opinion. Gold magically restocking can more immersion breaking than a backwards flying dragon to some people

Fantasy or not, theres strictly a gameplay reason as to why gold restocks and that is simply because you cannot generate gold ore or any other ore any other way.

Of course you can go to merchants for ores but if we strictly rely on merchants the purpose of mining would be defeated.

Therefor since ore viens cant appear randomly across the map the ores that already exist must restock time and time again.

Immersion is broken for the game play's sake.

I've done it before, I think it took me a little over a month of skipping time. Took about 20 minutes of *T* *24 Hours*

I'd suggest using console commands if you can to speed up time to 500,000; although your in game time played will get messed up haha

If you want it to be realistic, consider that the miners have just mined deeper into the walls. It's not as though you walk up and just harvest with a pickaxe, you're expanding the walls and extracting ore, the ore is deeper in the walls not just at the surface, so it makes sense that you wouldn't just chip at the wall a few times and extinguish the mine's whole supply. A month would be plenty of time to surface more ore.
