WILL OTHER PEOPLE BE PLAYING CAMPAIGN WITH ME BY DEFAULT? I DON'T WANT TO COMPETITIVELY PLAY MY CAMPAIGN AGAINST OTHERS!

Just co-op. This would be really annoying if I always was playing online against other players. I want to beat the game co-operatively with some friends THEN play online.

There is single-player, multi-player, and Co-op. Though they are the same thing you can make it so you are not playing against others.

I'm going against multiples rules of mine by answering your question. However you did not need to type in huge bold point letters, that makes me less likely to answer you, not more. This information is also easily found out if you searched even a little. But again I'm feeling generous.

You don't play with other people by default. You play with bots, you get to choose your privacy settings to set who can and can't join your games.
