"So, the storyline can either be experienced in a traditional, linear
narrative where there's a very clear series of cause and effect that
leads you from one mission to the next, or you can jump all over
the place and it's more like a jigsaw puzzle, almost like an episode
of Lost, where the whole picture comes into focus over time.
And you get to have the experience a different way."Yeah, better not too much like Lost, though.
"When you get to the end of the level and everybody's watching the
final cutscene that wraps it up and explains what happens, we are
already invisibly doing matchmaking for you and everybody on your
team, to try and find another server out there on Xbox Live or PSN
or in Steam, that just started up [the mission you need to repeat]
and has spaces for you on the Security team."And this. Is. Great. If the matchmaking works as good as said.
I'm still slightly confused. The impression that I got from that article was that in competitive multiplayer, if you lose the match then you have to repeat that same map. does the winning team advance to the next "episode" in order or is it random?
In Campaign you play a map until you've won it. The opposing team will be replaced through matchmaking every time.
For competitive play, there is Stopwatch mode, where each team plays one map on each side once (so two games on each map) and the faster team wins the map.
OH MY GOD STOP CALLING IT MINGLEPLAYER
it sounds super lame plus you guys already did a poll and the poll lost so stop trying to make it stick!
I tend to agree with you.
But I don't like your tone.
