Mini Games

Post » Mon Aug 02, 2010 8:29 am

I'm sure there isn't mini games like this in the game. But would you guys approve of Jousting in Skyrim? Even though It won't be in the game obviously, what would you guys think if it was?
List mini games like jousting that you would want in Skyrim.

I naturally thought about lock picking and the conversation wheel from Oblivion when I read the title of this thread. As far as other in-game games are concerned, jousting would imply mounted weapons which I doubt we will see. Along those same lines however, I wouldn't mind gambling, fencing, fighting or anything else appropriate being in the game, just No Fable type stuff.

I wouldn't mind some sort of arena fighting and other mini-game like activities, but never if it's different from the mechanics of the rest of the game. It's just too de-immersing.

Going off middle aged themes, since TES is loosely based on such things...

Tournaments would be sweet... where there would be jousting, sword play, fighting, archery, horseshoes, and whatever else.

Indoors... chess, Nine Men's Morris, Alquerques, card games.

Dreaming big, although I do expect some small games to play will be in there. Even Chess comes standard with Windows. I just played it, as a matter of fact, and want it even more in Skyrim now :)

Getting drunk in the game would be awesome xD.The Witcher and GTA 4 (RDR) did pretty good work with that sort of mini-game.

Chess, archery competitions, fishing, I like all these ideas, I no its not a mini game per-say but I hope there is still loads of books to read, and you can amass your own library.

Well the AI itself according to what i've heard could be a minigame. like duels, dropping stuff on the ground and see what happens :D create your own mini-game doesn't sound bad. as for mini-games... how about Skiing or something related to snow and ice like that. might be tough to produce with that physics engine tho. how about creature taming for use as pets or mounts. also wouldn't you consider randomly generated quests a mini-game?
